  • Great long weekend getaway

"We always book in the area to get out of the city, and we look for privacy and comfort. Amazing Place offered just that. Lovely design with a cozy feel and enough space to accommodate 3 couples with ease. The hot tub was as advertised and the grill was awesome - but just make sure the propane tank is full. We had enough propane for night 1 and that's all we used it for, but I venture to guess we wouldn't have had enough by night 3. Overall it was a great place to stay and I'd recommend it to anyone looking to get out of the city."

  • Outstanding

"Such a truly beautiful home. How lucky I was to find it. We felt such serenity here. The lagoon location was magic. Stunning views, beautiful design. The kitchen and family room with windows onto the lagoon were very relaxing. Perfectly clean. Even my dear mom, usually impossible to impress was quite taken. There were obvious updates, nice bedding, plenty of towels, very comfortable. Sure, the window shades were't perfect and the back slider stuck a bit- but it's the beach ! Who cares?! I think the house has charm, a cool, beachy design. Kids had a blast with kayaks and on the beach. I hope to return next year!"

  • Comfortable, quiet, convenient and well equipped. Highly recommended.

"San Francisco is quite expensive for any type of accommodation. Vivian's studio is modestly priced and it's 30-40 minutes by bus into the city. It's very conveniently located with multiple bus lines within a few minutes walk going to the city, the beach, south or north. Unless you have mobility issues, you won't need a car and you're probably better off without one. The neighborhood is great. It has a nice suburban feel without having to walk far for anything . There's a medium sized supermarket within 5 minutes walk plus plenty of smaller stores, cafes, restaurants, etc nearby. The wonderful Golden Gate park is only 10 minutes walk away. Vivian is a great host; she walked us through the studio showing us where everything was, talked us through her rules (which are very reasonable) and gave us good tips on public transport, cafes, etc. The studio was very clean and looks even nicer than the photos. The kitchen doesn't have an oven or stove. However, with the addition of some microwave safe cooking containers (I left one behind) I was able to cook pasta bolognese for dinner one night and beef tacos another. There is a small toaster oven, a toaster, coffee maker and a kettle (a necessity for making tea!). The fridge is a good size and there is a large water filtering jug which makes the water much nicer for drinking). The bathroom is clean and well appointed with various shampoos, lotions, medicines, etc available that you might need but may not be likely to carry on holidays. The Wi-Fi was reliable and fast - we had 3 phones and 2 tablets, sometimes all running at once and there were no problems. Vivian was happy to print some Alcatraz tour tickets for us that we'd bought online. The double bed is very comfortable and there are plenty of pillows, blankets, etc. We required 3 beds so Vivian provided a double air bed which I found surprisingly comfortable. The lounge folds out into a single bed however the hinge doesn't flatten out completely so there's a bit of a ridge in the middle - some may find this uncomfortable - if I had a choice, I'd use the airbed and leave the lounge upright. The neighborhood and the studio were very peaceful and quiet. There was a bit of noise from upstairs when Vivian's family were getting ready for the day or coming home but it was not intrusive in any way. The outside deck was being re-built while we were there - there was a little bit of noise at times from this but no inconvenience."

  • Perfect for families!

"We stayed at Wingsong for my husband's fortieth birthday and it was perfect. We had a group of 5 adults and 2 children (7yo & 8yo). We enjoyed the outdoor space in the evening and the beach during the day. We jetted over to Bodega Bay one day and Point Rey's the next day. The accommodations were cozy and comfortable. The rental process was a piece of cake."
