  • Wow, what a great house!

"We were looking for a house to accommodate 5 adults and 6 kids, this house was perfect! There were fun things to do inside and outside! We used the putting green and fished off the dock. Having our kids look for the golf balls was a great scavenger hunt! And there is always lizard chasing! We cooked big dinners and even bigger breakfasts, everything, and I mean everything we needed was here! Don't bring your own condiments, the fridge is stocked with all of that! We brought our own alcohol, and found a little stash left by others, we drank some and left some! Thank you Scott for your house, we will be back! Maybe next time it won't be 111 degrees! Luckily, the waterworks park is just 15 min away!"

  • Great place

"We have stayed in mountain cabins before and were alway uniformly disappointed. Not so with this well kept and well furnished home in the woods. We would stay there again for sure and will recommend it to our friends. It is situated in the pines on a secluded and quiet street that is surprisingly close to golf courses, restaurants and other outdoor activities. We had a wonderful time. Lee and Leanne are proud owners and it shows in how well the home is maintained."

  • GREAT!!!!!!!!!

"I already recommended this beautiful guest house to my friends. Here are the detail information about this property. 1. Location - 30 minutes to 1 hr away from the north part of Lassen volcanic park(the small number of roads in the park make you drive one or more hours to reach each direction of the park wherever you stay.) - 30 minutes away from Burney falls state park - one and half hr away from Lava beds monument - 1hr 45 minutes away from Mt. Shasta - one and half hr away from Kohm -Yah-mah-nee visitor center 2. Cleanliness - Beds, sofas, towels, everything and every room in the house : super clean, no bad odor 3. Convenience - 3 bedrooms with lots of beds(3 queen sized beds and 5 single beds) - a lot of cute kitchenware - well-organized 4. Magnificent view - This is a peaceful ranch guest house; cows, grassy plain, and starry night.(milky way, shooting stars..) - You can see Lassen peak in the living room. 5. Friendly and helpful owner - Elena, the owner, is really kind, sweet, friendly, and helpful. 6. Reasonable lodging rate - no ridiculous deposit and proper cleaning fee We had a great time. Thank you, Elena. My picky son awfully loves your house."

  • Repeat Guests to Fish Inn

"We've been repeat guests to the Fish Inn over Labor Day weekend for the past few years and it continues to charm. This place is great for dog owners because it's got a fenced backyard that abuts the National Forest - there's literally the National Forest Boundary sign next to the fence so no neighbors behind the Fish Inn (except the wildlife). Every morning and evening we'd take the dogs out the back gate on an easy walk up the trail paralleling Hat Creek. The cabin is perfect - enough linens, kitchen utensils, kitchen wares, dishes, pots, pans, glass ware, etc. New to the cabin are two fans for each bedroom. The bedroom off the kitchen had the smaller fan which worked great to get some air flow. We loved sitting on the front porch in the morning and evening relaxing. Our dogs loved it too - we often found them sitting on the front porch with paws draped over the front step enjoying the cool mountain air. This is a great little cabin centrally located - almost equidistant to Lassen National Park in one direction and Burney in the other direction. We checked out Subway Cave, Butte Lake, took in the Inter-Mountain Fair in McArthur, and ate excellent pizza at Uptown Pizza in Fall River Mills. The night sky is definitely not washed out by city lights - there are so many stars to be seen, my husband had a hard time identifying some common constellations because of so many stars! The night sky doesn't disappoint!"
