  • This is a very comfortable home in a wonderful location.

"The home is in a great location and is tastefully decorated. The owners are great. Victor even went out of his way to get us a chain when we got off the driveway and got stuck in the snow. I would highly recommend this home."

  • Great place

"Nancy is such a great host. Pleasure to deal with. The welcome basket of goodies and wine were thoughtful. The cabin itself has everything we needed. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook with. Living room was spacious and provides plenty of seating. Bedrooms were cozy. Nancy also provided guides of things to do around the area as well as some helpful instructions to take care of the house and operate things. If you're looking for a place for a quick getaway this is a great cabin to do it."

  • Jackalope Magic!

"We are a group of couples and friends who rented Jackalope Acres—for the third time! This destination home is in our opinion far superior in quality, amenities, and traffic--or the lack of traffic--when compared to the Lake Tahoe and Yosemite areas. North Battle Creek in the backyard is full of wild brown trout up to 12 inches. Backyard in this case means 20 acres of woods, meadows, and trails. There are also many other amazing fishing opportunities—float the lower Sacramento for wild, huge rainbows. But the best thing is the area is unknown, full of friendly local people, with wonderful day adventures in every direction. If you are there in summer Lassen National Park is almost deserted. The owners recommended the Paradise Meadow hike and it was—paradise that is. In winter the park IS deserted! Take the house snow shoes and walk around Lake Manzanita. It’s a private home and the kitchen is amazing and fully stocked. The firepit and the cedar hot tub are musts."

  • Perfect for adventuring!

"Our group of 7 had an absolutely wonderful time staying at Lassen Lodge. We were in the area to spend a couple days snowshoeing in Lassen, which was a very short drive from the house, and Lassen Lodge was ideal for our needs. The kitchen is amazing and well-outfitted for cooking for a group, and the house was wonderful and cozy for lounging around after a hard day of playing in the snow. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!"
