  • What a Wonderful Relaxing Getaway

"I rented this beautiful cabin for myself, daughter and granddaughter to just relax in for 3 night. We had a wonderful stay. She brought her dog who loved the area too. Mona and Ken were amazing hosts. They had a crib ready for our arrival. The place was clean and had an amazing view of the river. We enjoyed just hanging on the grass watching the sun pass over us thru the trees. It was so relaxing. They had menus of special restaurants to visit, but we just wanted to cook in the cabin and enjoy all the quietness the area had to offer. They are just feet away from a train that passes by from time to time. It is loud, but I actually found that enjoyable. I would run my 14 month old granddaughter out to wave at the train, and the engineer waved back. It was really special and I'm sure she will have that memory embedded someplace in that head to reflect upon in years to come. We visited the town of Mt. Shasta for lunch and strolling the main street for their fair. Wonderful people who are just happy to be together. We will be back and I'll bring more of the family. Thank you Mona and Ken. We look forward to seeing you again very soon."

  • pleasant but could have been better

"overall stay was good. home was in good condition, with good kitchen and all that. quiet and as advertised, my only complain is with the maintenance of the unit. lights in the front porch by the main door entrance werent working, lights in the parking space werent working, lights at the back porch were very dim at best. there are lights installed but they just don't work; we visited this home when there was a bear and mountain lion alert in lassen national park, this place is around 12 miles or so away from it; we were traveling with small dogs and it gets very dark after sunset; not having adequate lighting was a disappointment. Also, unfortunately, we were traveling during hot days, we only found 1 small table fan, just one; in the entire house."

  • Great Location, incredible sunsets.

"I stayed in Graeagle for the Labor Day weekend and really enjoyed the townhouse, every evening around 630 I would grab my 4iron,6,8,pw and putter and walk to the 6th hole and play 6,7 and 8. The 8th green is about 150 yards from the townhouse and I could do that loop 2 or 3 times. I would see quite a few people out walking on the cart paths putting or chipping on the greens ,you basically get free super twilight golf because its the front nine nobody is playing it after 5:00 or so you don't have any groups coming through. If you love golf , you would be stoked staying here, we also did a lot of fishing in the small lake/pond in the back yard, they have signs that say no fishing but a lot of people were doing it so we did too. The townhouse was basically what we expected, nice place, plenty of room for a large group, bbq on the back deck, killer sunsets, geese and ducks swimming in the lake, very peaceful and relaxing, and even if you don't golf you would enjoy just taking a nice evening walk out on the course and watch all the deer trotting around."
