  • Cozy Cabin

"Great decor and I love the cement stamped flooring! Our only problem was getting or boat onto the property. We couldn't fit through the gates! We had to back down the road in reverse and got stuck in a ditch. We had to hire a tow truck to get us out!"

  • Great property to rent! Close to Sugarloaf Marina

"We rented this lovely home over Memorial Day Weekend 2016. We are boaters and moored our boat at Sugarloaf so this home was a perfect location. Easy walking distance down to the Marina for the morning walk to check and wipe down the boat :) I love the bear theme great real life photos and pictures of bears throughout the home as well as cute lodge display and decor throughout the home. The house is well appointed with everything you need in the kitchen, bath towels, extra bedding, etc. Weber grill worked great! Nice outdoor table and chairs for outdoor dining. Great indoor kitchen table, Comfortable living room and the big screens throughout the home are also an unexpected surprise. The downstairs has a separate entry which makes it nice if you have a dual group or if you want some privacy we thought it was an excellent layout! Master and 2nd bedroom upstairs; huge junior suite downstairs with separate entry. Our first morning we woke up to a baby buck on the deck so cute! I would highly recommend this home for rent the owners are very professional to work with and we would rent again! Elaine Gesik-Nusser"

  • Big, casual house fit for a large group

"Eight of us stayed at the Sun House for 3 nights in October - with 4 dogs! We loved that this house was casual enough for us to enjoy with our dogs, without worries about messing anything up. The house had most everything needed for our group, though could use more teaspoons. Location is perfect for many activities. We are hikers, & there were lots of great options close by. Even in Oct., with the lake being low, we enjoyed the proximity. When we needed anything, the housekeeper was very accommodating. We loved the back deck & hot tub!"

  • Lovely cabin, rustic but modern, easy access.

"This is a very charming 2-bedroom, 2-bath cabin with extra sleeping with 2 bunkbeds and pullouts for more. The furnishings are antique and make you feel as if you have gone back in time when the cabin was built. The kitchen is well equipped with a cheery cherrie red and white theme with a huge fridge. My daughter and I had fun cooking (mostly she!) and very roomy. We were very relaxed, went to Lake Shasta to boat and fish at Antlers Resort which was easy to get to. We missed seeing a bear that had visited the morning we arrived! even though there was highway noise, we didn't notice it after a while outside and you couldn't hear a thing inside the cabin. We were so relaxed there! There was a little trouble with one of the air conditioners, but my husband cleaned out the filter, and after running it for a while seemed to have fixed it. The place was really clean. AMy, the neighbor, was very helpful. The only bad thing to say is that the lighting is poor in the main living room. We definitely will be coming back next year and will recommend it to others. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your "cabin in the woods"!"
