  • Awesome experience

"We recently stayed at the CASTLE for Memorial weekend and couldn't ask for anything better. Marc, the owner was just exceptional. He was super helpful from the beginning till the end and was always checking on us to make sure we were having a great time as well as safe and enjoying our time there. The CASTLE was just awesome. Located right by the lake, the view was just amazing. We had a BBQ out there, while the kids went fishing. The hot tub was the cherry on top of the ice cream. It was the most relaxing night I have had in many many years. Gazing at the stars while enjoying a glass of wine and sitting in the hot tub, couldn't ask for better. The house itself was amazing. It's all furnished with new beddings, furniture, beds, towels you name it. The amenities was stocked, we didn't have a problem at all. Kids was just so in tune to the house they didn't want go out! It's close to everything. It's 15 min away from the Harbor Light, where you can rent out a house boat and enjoy your stay at the lake the whole day. This was a super experience for our family....we couldn't ask for anything better. Thank you Marc again for being so inviting and making sure we were having a great time at all times!!!"

  • Great property to rent! Close to Sugarloaf Marina

"We rented this lovely home over Memorial Day Weekend 2016. We are boaters and moored our boat at Sugarloaf so this home was a perfect location. Easy walking distance down to the Marina for the morning walk to check and wipe down the boat :) I love the bear theme great real life photos and pictures of bears throughout the home as well as cute lodge display and decor throughout the home. The house is well appointed with everything you need in the kitchen, bath towels, extra bedding, etc. Weber grill worked great! Nice outdoor table and chairs for outdoor dining. Great indoor kitchen table, Comfortable living room and the big screens throughout the home are also an unexpected surprise. The downstairs has a separate entry which makes it nice if you have a dual group or if you want some privacy we thought it was an excellent layout! Master and 2nd bedroom upstairs; huge junior suite downstairs with separate entry. Our first morning we woke up to a baby buck on the deck so cute! I would highly recommend this home for rent the owners are very professional to work with and we would rent again! Elaine Gesik-Nusser"

  • Summer Break Vacation

"What a great time we had at this house! We came to celebrate summer break with our teenage son and 5 of his friends. The kids loved having the downstairs to themselves… watching movies and playing ping pong/pool/cards til all hours of the night, while we adults could have nice and quiet upstairs. Accommodations were perfect for us and could easily hold more. We were lucky that the lake was full this year. We rented a boat from Antler’s Marina (just 2 miles away) and were able to anchor it right at the house. The tubing was a blast. And the house is on a quiet cove so the kids also enjoyed just floating around on toys, having water fights, and exploring the large, quiet area. They had it all to themselves! I enjoyed reading my book on the comfortable deck overlooking the beautiful cove. There was also some nice bike riding we did right from the house. The only issue I had with the lake (and this would be the same no matter which property you rented) is that it is pretty rocky and steep at the “beach” areas. So getting in and out of the water was a little tricky for me (although the kids had no problem). So I just bought a rope at the store down the street, tied it to a tree and ran it down to the water. Then I could pull on it to more easily get in/out of the water. That worked great. Since it gets so steep right away, we could keep the boat just 5-10 feet from shore without it hitting the motor. That was convenient. Nancy was wonderful to work with. She met us right away and showed us everything in the house and cabins. She’s so friendly! We had a very small problem with one of the bathrooms one day and she was out there within a couple hours and had it fixed. The house was the best stocked that we’ve ever rented. The kids loved that they could easily walk to get pizza and ice-cream floats on their own. I loved having the convenience store so close. It was so easy to cook for everyone (the house has 2 nice, big propane grills) so we ate most meals there. We will definitely stay here again the next time we go to Shasta!"

  • Great vacation home.

"We had a wonderful time and would recommend this home to anyone. We had a very large group and there was something for everyone to do. If we were not playing on the lake two blocks from the home, the kids were playing pool, volleyball or just visiting on the patio. There is lots of parking for big gatherings. The home was nice and very comfortable. Everything in the kitchen that you could ask for and a second refrigerator which we needed. Mr West was very nice and helpful. The only thing I would suggest is he turn the temperature down on the hot tub. But we are from Oregon, so it was way to hot for us. Air conditioning in the home was a perfect setting."
