  • Wow, what a great house!

"We were looking for a house to accommodate 5 adults and 6 kids, this house was perfect! There were fun things to do inside and outside! We used the putting green and fished off the dock. Having our kids look for the golf balls was a great scavenger hunt! And there is always lizard chasing! We cooked big dinners and even bigger breakfasts, everything, and I mean everything we needed was here! Don't bring your own condiments, the fridge is stocked with all of that! We brought our own alcohol, and found a little stash left by others, we drank some and left some! Thank you Scott for your house, we will be back! Maybe next time it won't be 111 degrees! Luckily, the waterworks park is just 15 min away!"

  • Summer Vacation

"We booked this home for 2 weeks. Lakehead is close to many sightseeing opportunities-Shasta Dam, Shasta Caverns, Castle Crags State Park and it is close enough to Redding for any shopping needs. The home itself is very well laid out, spacious and very clean. The deck is private and the neighborhood is very quiet. The home is well stocked and the beds were very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

  • Lovely cabin, rustic but modern, easy access.

"This is a very charming 2-bedroom, 2-bath cabin with extra sleeping with 2 bunkbeds and pullouts for more. The furnishings are antique and make you feel as if you have gone back in time when the cabin was built. The kitchen is well equipped with a cheery cherrie red and white theme with a huge fridge. My daughter and I had fun cooking (mostly she!) and very roomy. We were very relaxed, went to Lake Shasta to boat and fish at Antlers Resort which was easy to get to. We missed seeing a bear that had visited the morning we arrived! even though there was highway noise, we didn't notice it after a while outside and you couldn't hear a thing inside the cabin. We were so relaxed there! There was a little trouble with one of the air conditioners, but my husband cleaned out the filter, and after running it for a while seemed to have fixed it. The place was really clean. AMy, the neighbor, was very helpful. The only bad thing to say is that the lighting is poor in the main living room. We definitely will be coming back next year and will recommend it to others. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your "cabin in the woods"!"

  • Thanksgiving getaway

"Awesome property! Our group of 8 had a great time visiting this comfy home and enjoying the beautiful views, long walks on surrounding trails, and hanging in the hot tub. Thanks, Ken and Lori, for providing all the necessities plus some extras for our family vacation - highly recommend! ~ Danis Family"
