  • Enjoyed the stay

"The house is well maintained. The bedrooms and bathrooms are all good. One thing which we did not like was, there were rat droppings inside the living room. That should have been cleaned. Guests can fall sick if its not cleaned properly. As there is no cellphone signal around that area, WiFi in the house would have been helpful. Overall for the price it was a good place to stay."

  • Cozy creekside cottage

"Great place to stay when visiting Lassen National Park. Cottage has everything you need ... kitchen is well stocked with pantry items and condiments. Beds are comfortable and main bathroom is spacious. I use a small wheelchair and had no problem in this house (however I don't need ADA accommodations). Doors are standard width and there are no steps to access front door/porch/bedroom/bathroom. I loved being so close to Bailey Creek..beautiful to sit down there and enjoy the scenery. The house did get cold at night (even in the summer), but a space heater worked just fine (no central heat/AC). The house stayed cool during the day .... no AC needed! Internet didn't work and AT&T has no reception... not a big deal, just prepare to use the landline provided. We look forward to returning in the future!"

  • Charming and rustic

"Stayed with a family of eight - five adults and three children - for four days in early July. The kids enjoyed fly fishing practice in the stream and picking berries and daisies with their grandmother. The adults enjoyed the rustic charm of this historic cabin. Michael is quick to respond to questions, the house had everything we needed, and it is very convenient to Lassen park. All in all, we had a lovely time. I would definitely consider staying here again if we come back to the area."

  • Wedding Retreat

"My husband and I were fortunate enough to stay at The Manton Lodge the week prior to our wedding and on our wedding night. It was a magical time for us, BBQing with friends and family, playing horse shoes with our nephews and exploring the woods around the property with each other. We also made frequent trips into "town," to wine taste and grab last minute items at the corner store. The house it's self was everything we needed, wonderful soaking tub, large kitchen and enough bedrooms to fit the whole gang. I plan to return here as often as possible."
