  • Relaxing Get-Away

"My husband and I enjoyed our stay at your cottage. It's very cute and comfortable. It was nice to have such a well equipped home, having everything we needed. We were a little bummed that there wasn't a fireplace or wood burning stove. Surprising for a mountain home, but I guess I missed that in the details. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck (in between the rain) and listening to Bailey Creek. The smell of the rain in the woods is amazing!! Thank you for the fresh baked bread! Really nice touch!"

  • Quaint place to getaway in Lassen National Park

"We enjoyed our week at this home. All the beds were very comfortable, and the linens were obviously newer and clean with plenty quality pillows. Lots of good quality towels, a fresh set on each bed was a great touch. The view was great and we enjoyed time on the deck. Having access to trash cans and not having to take our refuse to the dump ourselves is wonderful. The VHS collection is impressive, and we enjoyed a few evenings watching old favorites. The updated shower upstairs was nice. The living room was decently appointed, tho all the furniture should be shampooed or placed under fresh slip-covers. Lots of lamps around so you can light the room in many ways. We made good use of the Bose speakers with our playlists. Areas that could be improved for the next guests: A proper cleaning before new guests arrive, the home was a bit dusty and there was hair on the sink and in the bathtub downstairs upon our arrival. The laundry area was filthy, and no laundry basket was available. A basic instruction sheet on how to use the fancy washer would be helpful, the 1980s dryer is simple enough to figure out. Kitchen needs a working can opener, and the cupboards need a good scrub down inside and out. Expired food should be discarded. The dish drainer is awkward to use if you have more than a couple dishes to dry. The only outlet near the counters is behind the microwave. Finally, a laminated list of things to do when leaving the property. We had no idea what the expectation was, to strip beds or get towels washing or any other instructions. We would stay again."

  • Great Family Vacation

"The house is as good as advertised. We went and it rained like crazy all weekend. It was OK because of the great amenities. My boys, two 6 year olds and a 9 year old loved the game room. Victor and Diana were great. They dropped off a care package when the power went out to make sure we had all the things we needed to get by, luckily it it came back on quickly. Anyone would enjoy the house."
