  • The perfect venue for a family gathering

"We spent Thanksgiving at this rental and it was the perfect venue for our family. The open floor plan and large kitchen worked very well for inviting our family members to join us for dinner. The location is picturesque and even though the home is adjacent to Highway 299, it was very quiet. One morning while sipping coffee and looking out the window we saw two bald eagles in flight over the Trinity River. We cannot wait for another opportunity to rent this home, perhaps in the summer when we can take advantage of the great backyard, deck and pool area."

  • Enjoyed the stay

"The house is well maintained. The bedrooms and bathrooms are all good. One thing which we did not like was, there were rat droppings inside the living room. That should have been cleaned. Guests can fall sick if its not cleaned properly. As there is no cellphone signal around that area, WiFi in the house would have been helpful. Overall for the price it was a good place to stay."

  • Quiet, comfortable, close to town, yet in the woods!

"The guesthouse seems to be newly renovated with beautiful hardwood floors, oak moldings and plenty of room for two people. The bed area is not completely separate from the living room and kitchen, but was fine for us. There is a nice deck overlooking the property and a carport for our car. It was only a 15 minute walk to town. Sandi and John answered all of our questions and were helpful but gave us privacy. They live in the main house in front of the guesthouse. We enjoyed every minute and will return next time we want to go to Mt. Shasta."
