                                                                        A wonderful Shasta Lake getaway

                                                                        This lovely ranch-style getaway provided my girlfriend and myself with an unforgettable Spring weekend in Lakehead. The property is spacious and well maintained. There's a full-fledged babbling brook, too! We greatly enjoyed listening to it as we enjoyed the night skies by the outdoor fire pit. There are three bedrooms with a total of five beds, so this would be a great place for a group getaway or a family. Shasta Lake is walkable, and Mount Shasta is only about 45 minutes up the road. There are a couple of restaurants in the town (a five minute drive) as well as my new favorite dive bar in all of California. I would highly reccomend stopping in Redding to stock up on groceries for the weekend, though, as that's the nearest location for a supermarket. The property has a seemingly brand new gas grill, and the kitchen is equipped with pots, pans, etc. Highly recommended.

                                                                        Good size for 6 adults, 4 kids, and 3 dogs

                                                                        This was our first trip up to the Shasta area and we had a great time. The house was a good size for our group. The extra roll-away bed worked great for the 8 year old with us. Both the hot tub and game room were used on a daily basis. It was nice to have the extra towels that were supplied on hand and a washer and dryer to use. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of dished, pots, pans and everything we needed to feed our big group. The dogs loved the fenced yard that offered them plenty of space to run. Thanks!
