  • Idyllic!

"We came here for a summer vacation with the family (kids ages 6 and 2) and grandparents, and were immediately planning our return visit. The setting is idyllic , with a beautiful lake adjacent to the two cabins we rented. Our daily routine involved swimming, kayaking, walking around the property and painting the beautiful landscape. Brenda and Greg were gracious hosts, and the kids loved their lively dog Choco, too. The cabin was well equipped and had games for the kids. We look forward to returning."

  • Charming and cozy. :)

"My wife and I were driving from Tahoe to Portland and decided to stay here on the way. What a great time we had! It was a cozy and private little cabin that was right on the river. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We hope to do this again sometime. Thanks Heidi and Steph!"

  • Property was as advertised. It was great for our needs, relaxing, swimming, floating, enjoying the

"The carriage house is as described which is a major plus. Everything was laid back and comfortable. River access is a major plus for us, including our dog Maggie Spaniel. We would stay again. Our hosts were very helpful and responded quickly to some technical issue with the internet. The location works well for touring the area and is close enough to Weaverville if you need your civilization fix."

  • Delightful Woodland Retreat!!

"First timers, not knowing what to expect, we were pleasantly surprised. Cabin had plenty of space for all 7 of us, included 77 year old active grandma! Enjoyed having coffee and a bagel on the rear deck every morning, actually had the privilege of seeing a dear pass through the property one morning. Kitchen was fully stocked with plates, pots, pans, coffee machines, everything you use at home for daily living. Having 3 kids and spending lots of time at the river produces lots of dirty clothes but it was a breeze because I was able to do my laundry at the cabin. We had dinner together every night which was wonderful because when we vacation at hotels you tend to eat out a lot which can be very expensive. Also, hotel continental breakfasts are during certain hours, at the cabin, after a long night playing games and just enjoying family time, it did not matter what time we woke up, we were able to have our coffee and bagel at our time! Trust me, our family has done it all, camping in tents, hotels, motels, rv's....this has it all beat!!! You want a real restful vacation away from the crazy city life, looking for peace or a place to unwind.....look no have just stumbled on to a little peace of heaven!"
