  • Beautiful home in an ideal location

"This home was large, clean and comfortable with beautiful views. The home seems new, renovated and modern, which we loved. Located right on the lake with private dock and a boat launch less than 5 minutes away, made boating convenient and hassle free. The lake is huge and wasn't very busy and the town is cute and less than 10 minutes from the home. Our kids loved the pool table, the large lawn leading down to the lake and being able to swim in the lake, basically right in the backyard of the home. Our family will definitely return to this home again next year!"

  • Awesome.

"This is a log cabin unlike you have ever experienced. We were there in winter, and from the moment one walks into the huge living room/dining area with its soaring ceilings, it is toasty, and warm and inviting. Sitting in the living room, Mt. Shasta is front and center. It's almost surreal the way the light passes over the mountain. It is peaceful, serene and an impeccably built and maintained property, offering an abundance of amenities. Suzi is truly a responsive and amazing host. I arrived late, but my son said she met him at the property, all the lights were on, and she gave him a tour and provided data to make our stay that much more enjoyable. During our stay, we had a question about the operation of the sauna and within minutes Suzi was there to assist. It is an awesome property, but not at all pretentious. The beds were sumptuous, the kitchen equipped with everything imaginable. My sons and their families enjoyed this experience so much, we've decided we want to make an annual trek to Gilden. The adult kids loved the Ski Park, found it much friendlier and less crowded than Tahoe. The little ones enjoyed making snowballs on the property. We were never at a loss for something to do. The video collection was superb. What a gift that Suzi decided to share this amazing property. We feel grateful and blessed to have spent time here and look forward to going back."

  • Return Visitors

"This was our second stay at Mark's house, and I must say it gets better and better. My wife and I enjoyed the remodeling and upgrades since our last visit, and again had a fantastic time in a fantastic place! We highly recommend this house with its beautiful views and lakefront access. It doesn't get any better than this!"

  • Easy access off of the highway. We felt very much at home and the house had everything we needed.

"Our overall experience was very relaxing. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. The river access across the railroad tracks was easy and well worth the short walk. The river beach and swimming hole were fantastic!!!! We made some side trips to the caverns and to Dunsmuir. They to were great. Be sure to eat at Yaks in Dunsmuir. The owner Eric was always available by phone if needed. We all want to come back."
