  • What a GEM!!!

"As the summer was quickly coming to a close I realized I had not rented a house for an informal family reunion as I normally do. With a daughter in Ashland, son in Burney, and daughter in Redding I wanted something central to everyone. I found the house and knew it would be perfect. We spent three days canoeing, kayaking, fishing, playing games, and re-connecting before the school year began. The kitchen is excellent, the beds were comfortable, and the yard and surroundings were clean and private. The only unfortunate thing was the weather. We had an extremely hot day and did not have the usual afternoon breezes to cool us down. I would suggest floor fans and screens on the doors for those days. But that was an unusual day for the area and I am sure others will find this house and the surrounding pond as amazing as my family and I did."

  • The best family vacation we've ever had!!

"The home is lovely, the grassy play area expansive, the lake and the beach exceptional. Our days were filled with swimming, boating, lounging, baseball games on the grass, meals on the deck and serene cocktail times once the kids were asleep. The outside shower and hot tub were wonderful bonuses. With the exception of one trip into Chester for an ice cream cone we never felt the urge to leave our wonderful surroundings. Thanks Gerry!!"

  • Had a wonderful relaxing time

"Al was a gracious host and his house is great. A/C was set at a comfortable temperature for the hot days and allowed us to sleep comfortably at night. All the necessities and lots of room to spread out. Hot tub was wonderful after long days of sightseeing. Quiet neighborhood and local market was surprisingly well stocked. Al showed us the local swimming hole which is great for kids and adults. Look forward to staying again, thanks Al!"

  • Gorgeous location, peaceful, relaxing, well-equiped house!

"What a fantastic property! The first thing we noticed was the quiet - so peaceful that we could easily hear the Trinity river about 100 yards away. The first evening a doe and her fawn casually strolled through the front yard. The house is very comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need. The clothes washer and dryer were a bonus. Being August the weather was a little warm, but the house was nice and cool. We watched the Perseid meteor shower and some deer came right up behind us. Weaverville is an easy drive for groceries and restaurants. Truly a gem, we can't wait to visit again in Fall for the autumn colors."
