  • Great little place to stay, temporary or longterm!

"I rented this place based solely on the online pictures and knowing it was walking distance to downtown Napa and I will admit, I was somewhat nervous. But as soon as I walked in the door, my concerns were alleviated. I was very impressed with the spaciousness of the unit and the ample storage place (as I was in the process of moving from out of state). In fact, I liked it so much that I ended up staying for over six months! I loved being able to step out my door and take a short stroll into town to enjoy everything downtown Napa had to offer: wonderful restaurants, tasting rooms, street festivals and concerts, and just across the river to Oxbow Market. Of course, it's also a short drive to anywhere in the Napa Valley to visit any wineries. The owner is also very responsive to any concerns/service requests. I was sad leaving but ultimately needed more space. Overall, a great vacation rental but also with all the amenities and comforts that make it an ideal longterm living situation if needed. I would recommend it without hesitation to any of my family and friends in search of a place to stay."

  • Third Annual Assault on Napa

"On our previous trips, my wife and I had been unable to dent Napa's wine supply, so we geared up for a large group to share the wonderful experiences we'd had. We wound up with quite a group, totaling 16, most of whom were extended family with the remainder being long time friends. First, the views were remarkable. In three directions you see lines of wine plants stretching into the distance. Looking out from the pool and patio area, there is a smallish valley that holds a pond and then the hills rise beyond into the distance. The location was very private, and the size of the house allowed for separate groupings - watch football, listen to music, swim, plan the day's events or sit in the huge dining room sipping coffee. We were also fortunate enough to arrive on the 3rd day of the Safeway Open held at Silverado County Club, a 5 minute drive from the estate. The number of different things available to do in the surrounding area, let our main group break into smaller pieces to attend specific functions - horseback riding, hot air balloons, playing golf or just sightseeing along the coast. The centralized location (relative to wine country) made trips to either Napa or Sonoma quite short and we were able to enjoy not only excellent wineries but also a myriad of fine restaurants. Our favorite winery was Castillo de Amoroso where our wine "guide", Vincenzo, provided us with wine tasting far and above what was promised - highly recommended that you visit ! We are in the early planning stages of Assault #4 and this estate is one we'd highly consider if our upcoming group is of sufficient size."
