  • Wonderful, relaxing house!!

"This was a fantastic house - it was even nicer in person that the pictures depict. We visited for a weekend with our four-month old baby and another couple. We stayed upstairs so that in the morning when our baby woke up, we could change, feed, and play with her in the upstairs family room without waking up the other couple. At night, our baby went to bed early and us four adults could be downstairs without disturbing her. We made dinner and brunch in the large and lovely kitchen. It was also very close to grocery stores, coffee shops, wineries, downtown Sonoma for dinner, etc. Overall, this was a great house in a great location."

  • Charming, comfortable house!

"Our host was wonderful. She was friendly and very responsive whenever we had questions. The house was super cute! The beds were all very comfortable, they supplied all the towels we could ever ask for, the kitchen had lots of space for cooking, and the living room was a great place for some late night conversation. We didn't get to try out the hot tub, but we noticed that it was clean and ready to go whenever we needed it. The piano was beautifully tuned and we did get a chance to play a few tunes on that! My one comment is that the lighting in the house (with the exception of the common bathroom) was not great for applying make-up, but that's really a very minor complaint. Everything else was fantastic! Thanks so much for sharing your home!"

  • Thanksgiving Week Family Reunion

"When my husband and I started planning our Thanksgiving Week Family Reunion, we researched online and found a lovely chateau in the Solano Count vineyard country, Chateau Jaune, a property managed and owned by Vezer Wineries. There were 5 bedrooms and 5 baths and a fully-equipped kitchen and dining area. There was also a Great Room, patio with a full-amenities outdoor kitchen and grill and a front porch where family members could observe the sunset while enjoying the lulling qualities of a rocking chair. Since we have five children, each couple enjoyed privacy with an en suite bathroom and a view of either the vineyards or the mountains. And what views there were! Rewarded by a magnificent rainbow that embraced the vineyards on Saturday afternoon, the week was filled with memorable "photo ops." For our urban children, it proved to be a welcome haven from their professional, busy lives. From Maui to Washington DC, from Fort Worth to Brussels, Belgium the comments from our children and grandchildren were universally appreciative. We did not use the beautiful pool since it was the last week in November, but we made full use of the bikes in the garage, the tennis court, and the hiking trails both from the chateau and also Rockville Hills Regional Park. For city people, this was an awesome adventure. We enjoyed the convivial surroundings in the evening, seated in comfortable chairs and sofas and watching the glowing raised-hearth fireplace while sipping premium wines. For anyone planning an event - whether a family reunion like ours - or a wedding reception, we can absolutely recommend Chateau Jaune for a perfect experience."
