  • Great house with a ton of space and amazing views!

"The house was great. There was more than enough space for the 9 people in our party. The grounds were perfect to let our kids go out and play, as well. The décor was modern and made the house feel very comfortable and warm. It's perched on the very top of a hill which provide excellent views of the surrounding area, whether you are outside on the deck on inside taking advantage of the huge windows in the main living space. It's about an hour away from the Napa Valley depending on which road you take, but the drive is manageable. This house is perfect for a weekend spent in Sonoma, though. When we arrived it was very clean and everything was easily accessible. It was also very secure given the location and gate at the entrance. We had a bit of an issue at the beginning of the weekend because I didn't read all of the instructions (user error), but when I called the owner she was quick to respond and very helpful. Highly recommended if you have a large party, or just want to get away to work on your novel."

  • Great Location and Beautiful Home

"Recently stayed here as part of my first trip to Sonoma with 2 other couples. We had 6 adults and 1 Child and were more than comfortable in the space of the home. Each couple had their own private space and bathroom. Owner met us at the door on the day of arrival and showed us everything we needed to know and where everything was located. There was plenty of sheets, towels, and pillows in the rooms as well as all the basics provided (Kitchen items, bathroom items) plus some! Outdoor space was perfect for relaxing outside among the artwork, swimming in the pool and relaxing in the hot tub. The location was secluded enough where you didn't hear any of the neighbors, but close enough to the main road to get anywhere you needed to go. There was plenty of space at the end of the road to park the two rental cars we had as well as had a chef come in with 2 cars without blocking neighbors driveways. There were lots of notes around the house to remind you of the do's and don'ts (make sure you use coasters!) - however expected in order to keep their home nice and taken care of. I did recommend to owner to make sure in all areas of the VRBO posting to note the correct price per night (which is $875) but payment was easy and I received my security check back in a timely manner. We would most definitely stay here again when we return to Sonoma. Thanks Diane and V.Roy for sharing your home!"

  • Lovely cottage in the wine country

"This is a lovely one-bedroom, one bath cottage located on a small farm about 2 miles from the Sonoma Plaza. The cottage is decorated beautifully and has a large fully-stocked kitchen. The wrap-around deck contains a propane and charcoal grille. Clusters of grapes can be picked from the deck itself. Nearby is the family pool area next to a large ranch house where the parents of the owner reside when they come out for the weekend from San Francisco. The pool area is available for cottage guests and is marvelous. The awesome hostess, Nina, had informed us before our arrival of the wine festival being held in downtown Sonoma on that weekend. The festival was fantastic, with wine tastings, live music and lots of food. While there, my friend was describing our cottage in glowing terms to a group of locals she had just met. Coincidentally, she had just met Nina's parents. After the festival, Pete showed us around the property, gave us some fresh vegetables and a couple bottles of his wine. The location is very accessible to both Sonoma and Napa Valleys. One day we drove up the Sonoma Valley to Geyserville and then south to Napa stopping at a few wineries and exploring the towns. Calistoga is worth seeing. All in all, the accommodations, the hostess and her family and the Sonoma community were wonderful."
