  • Home away from home

"My wife and I just spent a delightful couple of days at the cottage, and even though there were storms bringing heavy rain and strong winds it was a treat to sit in our warm dry cozy perch and watch the waves crashing on the rocks and beach below and the ocean roil and the clouds race! There were birds soaring the thermals in front and scores of little birds in the trees in back, nature all around us! And in addition to the efficient wall heaters we enjoyed a nice log fire to keep us warm, comfortable sofas to lounge on and the beds even have electric blankets! Nina thinks of everything, the house is very well supplied, has fast Xfinity wifi and cable tv, and above all is clean, tidy and spacious. We were sad to leave and can't wait to go back and spend more time there!"

  • Lovely home, great location

"Harbor Cutie was clean and well stocked with supplies for the entire family, including board games and videos. Great for a family reunion, it has a large dining table and comfortable living room as well as spacious bedrooms and 2 full baths. The location is just down from the harbor and Bodega Head and there are hiking trails nearby. Terrapin Creek Cafe, a Michelin-starred restaurant, is just up the road. There really is something for everyone here! Jodie was very responsive and accommodating, and made us feel very welcome in her home. She even called to check on us when a big storm came in, but we were all comfortable in Harbor Cutie."

  • Very cute and cozy cottage!

"We have friends from New Mexico visit every New Years and we spend 4 nights somewhere on the coast. This year we chose the Fisherman's Cottage and had a great time. The close proximity to the beach is what drew us to this location. There is a new observation deck above the house that we enjoyed quite often. We had two glorious days and then the wind set in. Didn't matter because we just bundled up and went for walks anyway. Barbara was very easy to communicate with prior to our stay and everything was as she stated. Our group loves to cook and we eat in for all meals. We could have used a few more plates and silverware, but we made due. All in all, we had a great time. Thanks again, Barbara. Happy New Year!"

  • Best of Salmon Creek!

"Hattie's Cottage, light filled and spacious, feels like a lovingly created and cared for home rather than a tourist rental. Robin is obviously an artist--the decor is so tasteful and comfortable. The bed upstairs is just firm enough--super comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with new cabinets and new appliances plus every little thing you might need for cooking at home, and everything works! The lovely hosts, Robin and Randy (and Hattie the dog) live right across the street and are generous, available and responsive when needed while being completely respectful of visitors' privacy. The amazing two mile white sand beach seen from the gorgeous picture windows both in the living and dining rooms is five minutes' easy walk from the house. It's different every day and inexplicably empty most of the time, even in the summer ... except for the many kinds of birds staging hysterical performance shows on the seashore and around the creek. Lots to do in the area within short driving distance in any direction, if you're in an active mood. Robin put together a fantastic info book with up-to-date recommendations of where to eat and what to do to last you for weeks on end. This time around, I spent three weeks here on a solo winter retreat just hanging out, walking the beach, and staring into space. By the end I basically wanted to move in and never leave. Not even to go out to my very favorite restaurant in a 50 mile radius, the Terrapin Creek Café. We have stayed in five other places in Salmon Creek and Hattie's takes the Grand Prix!"
