  • A great getaway!

"We l live in Santa Rosa and wanted a nice place to stay with our dog. This home worked well for us. Stayed Tuesday through Thursday. Went fishing on a charter boat Wednesday. It was great! Can't wait to return! Thanks!"

  • Beautiful Home and View - Great Girls weekend

"We had 8 women in our 40s meet up at Chateau Relax-O for a girls weekend. The house has amazing views and the rooms are all nice. The best part is the front living room overlooking the ocean. There is a lot of seating so we could all hang out together. A few steps above that is the TV room, also with big comfy sofas. The only thing I would caution is if you plan to sleep on one of the "sleeping mats." I hate sharing a bed so I slept on one the first night but is was really uncomfortable (hard and thin so like sleeping on the floor). As a result, I did share a bed the following night because I wanted to remain in the master bedroom (nicest room). The bed was very comfortable. We hired a private chef to cook for us on Sat. night and that went well. The kitchen had everything we needed but I suggest getting dinner size plates that aren't plastic - it kind of cheapened the private chef experience. Also, note that the BBQ is somewhat small for 8 people (I think 2 burners) so we had to cook our Fri dinner in batches. Overall, we had a great stay and wonderful, relaxing time catching up with one another. That was our main goal and this is a wonderful house for staying in. We visited Sebastapol to check out the local area and soon realized we would have been better off if we hadn't left the house for the day."

  • Great Family Getaway

"We stayed 3 nights in this house and it wasnt nearly long enough! The house is perfect for a group with different ages , ours had 5 adults and 2 teenagers. The teens loved the loft, everyone loved the living room and the outdoor fire pit. There is a great patio off of the kitchen to catch the morning sun and the back patio for an end of day glass of wine to watch the sunset over the ocean. The kitchen has everything you need for cooking large or small meals."

  • Paradise!

"Since 1984 we have been enjoying this area of the Sonoma coast. We have stayed in various houses, inns & hotels, but none of them can compare to "Aftermath". From the moment you enter thru the front gate into the courtyard, you are met with dozens of blooming plants and the flutter of hummingbird wings. Big & spacious, it accommodated our outdoor games, playing catch, bean bag toss, etc. The home is amazing! Upon entering, your breath is taken away by the views, and we were immediately drawn outside to the multi-level deck to gaze at the view. We stood out there for 15 minutes before we realized we had not even looked at the rest of the house! Each room is charming, clean & comfortable. We cooked a number of meals in the well stocked kitchen and warmed up by the fireplace on those cool foggy nights. Aftermath is one of those places that you sit and think about "wouldn't it be nice to own this place and stay here all the time?" - we loved every aspect of this home! The views from the inside and outside showcase Duncan's Landing, Wright's Beach, all the way to Goat Rock. This is a place we will return to over and over. Thank you for sharing your family home and history with us."
