  • True Rustic Paradise

"When we first came upon this listing I had to check google earth just to make sure it was real. Once we did that we booked it immediately for memorial day weekend. The property is even more incredible in person than the pictures suggest and, as others have mentioned, makes for a true rustic paradise. The physical plant is enormous and incredibly well landscaped. The golf course is fantastic- with well maintained greens and tees allowing multiple interesting approaches to the four greens (including off the deck for the ideal cocktail hour KP competition). The lake is well taken care of and ideal in temperature with an incredible giant rope swing. The lake is also stocked, allowing evening fly fishing in an incredibly idyllic setting right outside your front door. The house itself is understated but elegant, fitting in perfectly with the surroundings and offering everything you might want including large functional kitchen and multiple beautiful rooms with sweeping views of the property. And after all that, the location in the heart of beautiful wine country with an excellent winery next door makes this place truly unbeatable."

  • Exceeded expectations.

"We enjoyed staying at Wagging Woods with our pup. He explored the grounds and we enjoyed taking him on morning and evening walks. The house is surrounded in trees and the peace and quiet is so relaxing. The house was clean and only downside if I had to write on was the jet tub did not work 😕 Everything else around the house made up for it. We can't wait to book our next trip here."

  • Best of Salmon Creek!

"Hattie's Cottage, light filled and spacious, feels like a lovingly created and cared for home rather than a tourist rental. Robin is obviously an artist--the decor is so tasteful and comfortable. The bed upstairs is just firm enough--super comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with new cabinets and new appliances plus every little thing you might need for cooking at home, and everything works! The lovely hosts, Robin and Randy (and Hattie the dog) live right across the street and are generous, available and responsive when needed while being completely respectful of visitors' privacy. The amazing two mile white sand beach seen from the gorgeous picture windows both in the living and dining rooms is five minutes' easy walk from the house. It's different every day and inexplicably empty most of the time, even in the summer ... except for the many kinds of birds staging hysterical performance shows on the seashore and around the creek. Lots to do in the area within short driving distance in any direction, if you're in an active mood. Robin put together a fantastic info book with up-to-date recommendations of where to eat and what to do to last you for weeks on end. This time around, I spent three weeks here on a solo winter retreat just hanging out, walking the beach, and staring into space. By the end I basically wanted to move in and never leave. Not even to go out to my very favorite restaurant in a 50 mile radius, the Terrapin Creek Café. We have stayed in five other places in Salmon Creek and Hattie's takes the Grand Prix!"

  • A wonderful, well kept cabin.

"My then girlfriend and I stayed at this property back in 2011 with our dog. It was a memorable experience, and we've since tried to book the cabin to no avail, so you can imagine how excited I was when I found out it was once again available. This time, with my now wife and two kids. It brought back old memories of our stay and our beloved dog; it was bittersweet. We were also able to go visit the log over at the Russian River Gulch where I carved our dog's name in it. It was still there! The cabin was a bit colder than I remember it to be, but nothing a little fire and a heater couldn't fix. The place is still big enough to accommodate a family of four; our kids had a blast; we grilled a locally procured trip tip roast from the local general store that was out of this world. An enjoyable experience all-in-all had it not been for me catching a cold toward the end, even with that, it was still fun!"
