  • Wonderful home in a beautiful location close to the NAPA and Sonoma wineries

"This home is a beautiful get-away located in the foothills just outside of Glen Ellen. It has nearby restaurants, grocery store, and coffee shops and is close to the local wineries. The large outdoor deck has tremendous morning and evening views, the stars were gorgeous at night and the poolside/hot tub areas are great for relaxing. The house is well maintained and easily accommodated (3) couples and we will be glad to return. This home is located behind a coded gate and has a great sense of security and isolation while being minutes away from vacation needs."

  • What a gem!

"We were looking for a dog-friendly place in Sonoma and stumbled upon this secluded hideaway. We stayed 2 nights and would have liked to have lingered longer. The grounds are well-kept, the facilities perfectly in order, and the vibe is unbeatable. Bring your provisions as you don't want to have to head down the road because you forgot some milk or whatnot. In fact, that's really the only downside I can find-- if you wanted to get to town its a bit sketchy on an unfamiliar one lane road at night--but there's really no reason to leave! We hope to visit again in the future."

  • Home away from home!

"My husband and I just returned from 5 nights in Sonoma. I chose the Tanglewood House because of it's location and reviews. Wow! Mary and John have a little piece of heaven! We started each morning with a delicious homemade breakfast served overlooking their meticulous gardens. Days spent exploring the wineries, parks and coastline. Our favorite destinations included Benziger and Korbel wineries, Bodega Bay, Armstrong Woods, the Russian River Valley and the Glen Ellen Star for dinner. Every night we arrived home to the light on and a new supply of wood for the fireplace. The perfect way to end each day! Thank you Mary and John. You made our trip so relaxing and fun. We hope to return again soon!"

  • Lovely home

"We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. Very cozy and comfortable. Two comments: We did not have access to the washer/dryer. One of the main reasons we rent a home is to have all the conveniences of home and that includes a washer/dryer. We ended up finding a laundromat about 20 minutes away. So not convenient. This is the first time we've run into this issue and have rented 20+ homes all over the US. Also, please provide more than one wash cloth per guest if people are staying more than one night. Don't mind reusing a towel, but would appreciate a clean washcloth each day. The parking was very difficult with a full size SUV. Especially backing out! Scary!"
