  • Clean, modern, comfortable with all the amenities

"Often online photos misrepresent a property but this is not the case here. Claus's property is wonderful. Everything someone would need is provided right down to a flat iron! The refrigerator is stocked with breakfast items so you don't need to go straight out and buy groceries. There's plenty in the pantry as well. There is a table and chairs on a small mostly private patio overlooking the valley. The studio is located underneath the main house. The pool, which is lovely, is shared space. We were there when Claus and his family were away so we had the place mostly to ourselves. Pets are allowed and we had planned to bring our dog but our trip was delayed and we decided not to bring him since the weather was already too warm. It's wonderful that the property is pet friendly however there is no yard so one would need to find a dog park or other area for your dog. The studio is located on a hill above town which provides a wonderful view. It's very much within walking distance of town but for us it was far too hot to make the trek. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider it again if we are in the area."

  • Even better than the pictures!

"We spent a great girls weekend enjoying the property! So much so that we passed on wine tasting our first afternoon just so we could relax at this charming, eclectic hideaway 10minutes west of downtown Sonoma. We slept and entertained ten people very easily. Added bonus, the hostess was incredibly accommodating. Can't recommend this property highly enough!"

  • Authentic Rustic Cabin in Inverness

"From the moment we drove onto the property we knew we were in the right place. Dipping down a steep grade into the property you have the feeling of privacy and a mini compound adorned with a main cabin, a sleeping cabin, decks galore, stacks of firewood, hammock, an apple and pear tree. The main cabin is perfect for fires, wine, reading, cooking and eating. Everything you need is there, even great books! We brought our dogs and we're confident letting them roam the well fenced in property. One of our favorite features was unplugging from everything. No wireless and no cell service. Complement that with a hammock for the perfect afternoon! This is a perfect place for you if you want to unwind and if you want a stay in a homey cabin that is authentic and original. This is not your manicured experienced with all things perfect just for you. This is a rustic authentic experience that has the evidence of stories of the many others that came before you. And, that is part of the charm and why it's so easy to relax there."

  • A magical retreat

"Stayed here for a family celebration and all of us, from toddler to middle schooler to grandparents alike, were so smitten with this place. It was filled with great books, a few great toys, and the kitchen items of my dreams (the best rental kitchen I've ever encountered). I spent much of my time fantasizing about my own family living there--it was so comfortable and tasteful and perfect. We ate outside, played on the rope swing, cooked up numerous feasts, and even played tennis down the road! Margaret was a pleasure to communicate with. Couldn't recommend more highly!"
