  • The perfect place to relax and enjoy nature

"We stayed at the cottage for 10 nights and will definitely come back another time. First of all the cottage is very beautifully decorated, clean and spacey. We both have many allergies and had no problems in the cottage. There is a nice shower and a functional small kitchen. The bed is very comfortable and we had the nicest very soft sheets and pillow cases. We enjoyed our meals outside on the patio with the most amazing view of the golden hills, many birds and beautiful trees. The owners, Kurt and Gerald, were so nice and welcoming showing us their amazing garden and house. The stay at Woodhaven Cottage was the best experience we had during our time in the US!"

  • Beautiful and clean, inside and out!

"This cottage has a great location and was perfect for two couples. Reserving the cottage, check-in, check-out and communications were timely, friendly, and easy. It's charming with french doors to the deck and a Dutch door out to the gardens. The landscaping and gardens are well kept. We spent our mornings on the back deck with coffee and vineyard views; It was very relaxing and comfortable. Wineries, restaurants, and groceries are all near by."

  • BEAUTIFUL COTTAGE, BEAUTIFUL WEEKEND

"Another amazingly beautiful weekend spent in this Healdsburg Vineyard Cottage. This is our third year visiting this total treasure and it never disappoints. Its gated private drive winding through the vines is the perfect invite to the picturesque cottage that sits completely surrounded by the vineyard. The days and nights are absolutely peaceful with little noise, perfectly breathtaking view, and gorgeous sunsets. Jan & Brent have not left a single thing out of their immaculately kept home and if you find they have, they will gladly bring you whatever it is you need. They always have a chef available to cook meals, a masseuse to come in and give you a relaxing massage, and so, so much more. All you have to do is ask and they will hook you up. With each visit to the cottage, it’s more and more difficult to leave…you just want to stay…just one more day!!! Thank you, Jan & Brent for warmly opening your home to us and allowing the continued delightful and magnificent experience of this Gem."

  • Beautiful Setting!

"Our group of five women from the east coast rented the Grape Escape as our home base for a wine country excursion. Happy to say, we had a great time! The house is not only gorgeous on the outside, but also spacious, beautifully appointed, and very comfortable on the inside. When we walked in we were greeted with a bottle of home-grown Zintensive Care and a vase full of Calla lilies from the garden. Then we looked at the rest: The fully-appointed modern kitchen, the roomy bedrooms, and the three full baths. Everything we needed. In back there was a porch, patio, hot tub, and lots of seating to take in the view during the day, and the stars at night. The property is on acreage, and was perfect for taking daily walks down the long driveway and out to the country road. We were surrounded by rolling hills, gardens, and grape vines everywhere. In fact, the owners, Carol and Virgil, grow Zinfandel grapes on this vineyard land for one of the nearby Dry Creek wineries--and make a pretty fine private label, too! Our hosts live just down the road, and it was a pleasure to meet them (and their dog Kallie) and talk to them about the area. Carol gave us good advice on local wineries and restaurants in Healdsburg and the area(along with places to avoid), and Virgil wowed us with a fantastic private barrel tasting and tutorial in his "cellar." The two of them really made the trip so memorable. Cheers to them! Hope to be back someday.."
