  • Best of Salmon Creek!

"Hattie's Cottage, light filled and spacious, feels like a lovingly created and cared for home rather than a tourist rental. Robin is obviously an artist--the decor is so tasteful and comfortable. The bed upstairs is just firm enough--super comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with new cabinets and new appliances plus every little thing you might need for cooking at home, and everything works! The lovely hosts, Robin and Randy (and Hattie the dog) live right across the street and are generous, available and responsive when needed while being completely respectful of visitors' privacy. The amazing two mile white sand beach seen from the gorgeous picture windows both in the living and dining rooms is five minutes' easy walk from the house. It's different every day and inexplicably empty most of the time, even in the summer ... except for the many kinds of birds staging hysterical performance shows on the seashore and around the creek. Lots to do in the area within short driving distance in any direction, if you're in an active mood. Robin put together a fantastic info book with up-to-date recommendations of where to eat and what to do to last you for weeks on end. This time around, I spent three weeks here on a solo winter retreat just hanging out, walking the beach, and staring into space. By the end I basically wanted to move in and never leave. Not even to go out to my very favorite restaurant in a 50 mile radius, the Terrapin Creek Café. We have stayed in five other places in Salmon Creek and Hattie's takes the Grand Prix!"

  • Ocean Bluff Awesomeness!!!

"I never imagined a bluff setting would bring the ocean so close to our eyes and ears. Though perched high above the crashing waves, the ocean engulfs you from every window and deck. This property is stunning for location, vistas and functionality. As a family of five, we have many needs and the Ocean Bluff Serenity house met them all. They offer a closet packed full of games for all ages, stocked kitchen, laundry room, comfy leather couches and sprawling tables for food and fun. Plus, great throw blankets for the cool evenings. The beds were comfortable and the layout was ideal for lounging after long day treks. An afternoon/evening soak in the hot tub with exquisite views was the best. Great location between Jenner and Sea Ranch with tons of trails in between. We did have cell service (Boost Mobile) throughout the home which was great for researching food, trails and weather forecasts. The satellite TV provided great music stations to read, eat or play pool by. It was hard locking up and driving away from such a comfy, clean and open house. Ocean Bluff Serenity is a must do/experience. We will be back... hopefully a few times a year!"

  • Real gem

"We enjoyed our quiet weekend at Sojourn. The house is clean, spacious, child-friendly and cozy; it is quite old, but well-maintained, and it's obvious that it's being loved by it's owners and well taken care of. We loved the fireplace and a patio with a great ocean view. A lot of trails and restaurants nearby! We didn't have a single issue during our stay - the owners have prepared the house perfectly! Charcoal grill is not that convenient as gas one, but we were able to buy some charcoal at Pelican grocery store, so it was fine. Remember to plan some time to wash up all dirty dishes before you check-out (: We hope to return to Sojourn someday next year."

  • Perfect Getaway

"My family of 4 (with kids-11,13) stayed at this lovely cabin in late July. The location was PERFECT for so many activities. The public beach was an easy and enjoyable 5 minute walk, the waves are high and cold but the area where the creek feeds into the ocean is perfect for wading. Even my teen loved "snorkeling" for guppies. This is a great location for easy day trips like the Russian River and the wine country. The house was immaculate with comfortable furniture, a well stocked kitchen, quality linens, good toiletries and a beautiful view. Cherie was easy to work with. Date of arrival"
