  • Aniversary +++

    "thanks to our new Vineyard family of Mitch and DeAnne and the dogs and Chickens and Roosters....Russell Crow..I still chuckle......we went to celebrate our anniversary and ended up joining a new family. I call it the Sonoma equivalent of working on a dude ranch! We were given a tour of the property, learned a ton about the region and specifically the vineyard and how the natural makeup of the area attributed to creating such rich and complex grapes. Had a little work-out doing the "press-down" twice/day on the 2015 Merlot and loved every second of it. Oh and of course, enjoyed watching the sunset and moon rise while sampling some of the most wonderful wines! I have never tasted a Chardonnay like this in all of my samplings...even in Australia....so different...but so perfect! We stayed in grandmas house...and boy does gramdmas house have a great view !!! A couple of things might differ slightly from the pictures here, but the best ones of the vineyard and valley views especially from the Hot Tub are True to life!! If you are looking for a 5 star-antiseptic hotel..this isn't it! The home is "real", "comfortable", "functional" and a place to come home to every night after your day's adventures. We loved being part of something that we know will continue to grow into Mitch and DeAnne's dream as the years progress and we look forward to being the first members of the Black Knight Vineyard Wine club...hint hint DeAnne !! cheers to you DeAnne and Mitch and best of luck chasing your dreams!"

  • Great family getaway

    "We recently stayed at this beautiful house with our 3 grown children and their spouses. We wanted to take a trip to California wine country for my husband's birthday. This was the perfect spot! 4 bedrooms (one for each couple), a great gourmet kitchen and plenty of room for gathering on the deck and in the family room...everything the listing promises and more. Our kids really loved the sound system...we had plenty of wonderful music every night. We cooked our breakfasts and dinners at the house. The deck was perfect for us all to eat together. The owner, Lisa, was a gem to work with. Her on site manager, Kimberly, was very helpful. Prior to our visit Lisa answered every one of our questions. She sent a fabulous welcome packet with plenty of suggestions and recommendations for our visit. We used her recommended limo service for our winery visits. John, the owner and driver, was incredible. His selection of wineries was great and he was a fountain of local information. More attractions nearby .... If you like the Peanuts comic strips be sure to visit the Charles M. Schulz museum, it was a fun afternoon. Our kids used the walking paths across the street that lead to the different parks. We went downtown for dinner at Ca'Bianca and had a beer before our dinner @ the Russian River brewpub. If you are looking for a great place to stay in Santa Rosa ... this is your place. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home Lisa!"

  • Thoughtfully laid out, great location near park

    "Pros: Gem in Santa Rosa with great deck, backyard, hot tub. Location very close to the park. Great space for small groups of people. Owners were very nice. Kitchen well-equipped. Cons: Communication with owners was a little bit delayed. A few more window screens would have been nice so we could leave the windows open instead of A/C since there are mosquitoes. Overall, everyone was impressed and it was great value."

  • Great stay in Santa Rosa

    "We enjoyed our holiday weekend staying in this lovely home! My husband and 3 adult children spent the long 4th of July weekend in Santa Rosa. The home was perfect and more beautiful than pictured. We had plenty of room to relax and the guys enjoyed the pool table. The house and property is well maintained and clean. The location was a little to remote for us. We love to walk in the evenings and this area is not conducive for walking. You have to drive everywhere including the grocery store. The location is also a bit farther than we thought from Napa and San Francisco. The drive to Napa was about 45 minutes and to San Fran more than 1.5 hrs in traffic. We loved the house but would have preferred to stay closer to Napa as the commute is quite challenging. Anthony made himself available to us at all times and he was very nice. The main problem has nothing to do with the owner but more the area and that's the WiFi and internet connection. Cell service was not very good, I had to go outside to talk. I will admit it was nice to disconnect and enjoy the family! Overall, it was well worth it and our family had a great time. If you want to spend time in Napa as we did or hang out in San Francisco, consider staying closer because the traffic can be horrible."
