  • Comfortable Family Retreat and Celebration

"We can't say enough positive to share all the hospitality that our host shared with us. From the adorable Tent House to the charming main home. Tastefully decorated, extremely comfortable. It felt like home. We had a small gathering for our son's graduation from Sonoma State University and all enjoyed the ambience, etc. A wonderful place for a family or corporate retreat. Grape arbors, compost toilet and shower enjoyed by our daughter and boyfriend. The weather cooperated as well. The owner lives in home above garage and we barely saw him. Such a wonderful man, I wish we had time to visit. Very learned and congenial. The Harris's from Indiana"

  • Pictures don't do the views or the amenities justice - this estate is magical

"I wanted a place to gather friends to celebrate my 40th birthday. I wanted a space where 12 of us would be comfortable, but still have privacy if anyone wanted it. This house is so incredibly special and the pictures just don't do it justice. When you walk into the front doors of the house and see straight through to the pool and the vista beyond - it's majestic! The space easily accommodates 12 (with room for more). We hired a chef, who catered dinner for a night. We lounged by the pool. We relaxed and enjoyed the crazy beautiful sunsets. The hardest part about the whole weekend was choosing between relaxing at the house and heading out to go wine tasting. It was almost a shame to leave at all! The property is in perfect condition. Melanie, who manages the property was great to work with and communicated well. She ended up being out of town during our arrival, but her mother - the original owner/builder of house greeted our group - and OH what a treat!! The description of the house was spot-on - and the house was so much better than any of us expected. The kitchen was easy to navigate and had everything you would need to accommodate a large group. There was indoor and outdoor eating space. The house is moderately remote - and up a pretty winding narrow road - but once you arrive, you really won't want to leave. I would (and have) recommend this house to anyone heading to wine country for a special weekend."

  • Wonderful

"My wife & I stayed here during the first part of our honeymoon. The location was perfect for visiting all the wineries we wanted to hit in the Russian River Valley. The cottage was very comfortable, peaceful, and scenic. The owners are very friendly and generous. They shared a bottle of wine with us that was made using the grapes on their property. It was such a nice treat to stay here!"

  • Perfect Stay in a Beautiful Home!

"My friends and I recently had a "reunion weekend" at this beautiful home. There were 10 of us who stayed, with 2 more who joined us for dinner on one of the nights. We had a personal chef come and cook us a divine meal and the kitchen(s) had everything he needed to make the chef's job complete. Everything we needed to have a memorable stay was part of this home. Upon arrival, Chris (person who helps look over the property), greeted me with a smile and showed me around quickly so I could get started on the weekend. From there, my friends started arriving and were in awe of how large the home actually was. It was fun checking everything out. Our favorite part was the pool and spa setting- a secluded area to make us feel like we were far away from real life. I would describe this home as a "woodsy mid-century modern". While there were parts that had a mid-century feel, there were parts that felt like we were in a big tree house (as one of my friends described). With an address in Santa Rosa, it's as close to the Sonoma Valley as you can get without the extra cost of staying there. It is literally 1.5 miles from a winery that we gave 5-stars. In addition, communication with Pat was great- he answered all my questions within a reasonable time. I cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you for a memorable stay!"
