  • Great family trip to Sonoma!

"This home away from home was a perfect place to spend 5 days of winter break with our two teens! The house was lovely, inside and out, peaceful and very comfortable for all. It is perfectly located, close to Sonoma with easy access to wineries and excellent restaurants and also central for day trips in Sonoma, Napa and Mill Valley. Lots for everyone to do! We also thank Ellen for her gracious hospitality. We'd love to return and stay again. We highly recommend this house for trips with family or friends!!"

  • Home away from home!

"We were in Sonoma for a wedding and stayed at Larry's cottage. It was super adorable and within walking distance to downtown. We would definitely recommend staying here! Loved that when we turned on the radio, Irish music was playing. Three adults stayed comfortably. There was a nice private backyard for us to enjoy."

  • Perfect location for everything

"We couldn't be happier with our stay! This was the perfect spot for a short weekend stay while in town for a wedding. Very centrally located allowed us to bounce around town much easier than some friends who stayed elsewhere. Susan was also a fantastic host, very accomodating and provided amenities that I typically expect at a hotel."

  • Location, value & Bicycles!

"We booked this unit for 3 specific reasons: (1) proximity to Sonoma town square and Gundlach Bundschu... where we got married a year ago, (2) the bicycles offered by the host for guest use and (3) the value. Can get pricey in the area and this was about as affordable as it comes per night for a room. Minus a hotel on the square, there are not many options we found on VRBO or AirBnB that accommodated our budget. Easy bike ride or super short drive into town. The bikes were a big draw for us. More owners should take note of this amenity. We had SO MUCH FUN touring 3 wineries we found within an easy ride of this location. Price is what it is for who's looking. Some other notes: The grounds are incredible. Probably the best VRBO exterior accommodations. This unit has a cute little patio over looking the vineyard. And it's maybe a 100 yards off the road, so super quiet and private. Interior is a little tight, but clean and well tended. This unit is an old converted water tower. Upstairs is a queen bed tucked neatly into the entire space. The sliding glass doors overlooking the vineyard is a nice touch. The downstairs has the bathroom (a bit of a trick for middle of the night bathroom run) and small living area. There's a microwave, coffee maker (coffee provided, along with sugar, no cream) and small bar fridge... with tons of small bottles of water! It was a warm OCT day and the unit was a little warm. There is a window A/C upstairs that did keep the space cool... but it was a bit loud. We reverted to turning that off and opening up the window/door that did cool down to a very comfortable temp at night. One note that I'm sure is being addressed based on conversations with some maintenance folks on site (owners were out of town during our stay). There were some vermins crawling around the 'attic' during the night. Believe they were bats. I have every expectation that will be dealt with immediately. Book with confidence. We plan to be back each year to celebrate our anniversary and we won't hesitate to stay here again."
