  • Wonderful home in a beautiful location close to the NAPA and Sonoma wineries

"This home is a beautiful get-away located in the foothills just outside of Glen Ellen. It has nearby restaurants, grocery store, and coffee shops and is close to the local wineries. The large outdoor deck has tremendous morning and evening views, the stars were gorgeous at night and the poolside/hot tub areas are great for relaxing. The house is well maintained and easily accommodated (3) couples and we will be glad to return. This home is located behind a coded gate and has a great sense of security and isolation while being minutes away from vacation needs."

  • Just what we needed!

"We spent two months (Oct -Nov 2015) in the Pool House while house-hunting after relocating to Sonoma county. We could not have asked for a better “base camp”. It had everything we needed for a temporary long-term stay: spacious accommodations, full kitchen, comfortable bed and even a wide-screen TV in a very pleasant and quiet location. The photos on the website are accurate. The only non-quiet times were a few “Friday Night Lights” football games (2-3) at the Cloverdale High field which is adjacent to the property. We actually enjoyed this “blast from the past”. The best part of the Pool House, however, was the generous assistance we received from owners, Tammy and John, as we began our new life in Sonoma county. We needed a doctor in the first week we arrived and Tammy recommended one, even calling ahead to tell them about us. Restaurants, shopping, hardware store, anything we needed to know, we had our very own personal GPS with Tammy and John. We cannot thank them enough, not only for their recommendations and suggestions but also for the very pleasant, warm and generous people that they are. For above reasons, we highly recommend the “Pool House” for any long-term stay, even if just a month’s vacation adjacent to a gorgeous pool and the entire Sonoma county wine country."

  • Cypress Ladder House in Kenwood

"I am a new VRBO user. I was not familiar will the process at all. After talking with the owner and reading others reviews I felt safe and confident everything was going to happen as explained. All the while waiting for some unforeseen problem to rear its head and make the whole thing go sideways. I am thrilled to say that never happened. Rob has a great little property and everything went smooth and we can't wait to go back. Our wine tasting weekend was from Thursday to Sunday, not a lot of time for the area. We were two couples on our first ever Sonoma trip. The wineries are beautiful, and close to the house. Some Mayo, VJB, and others are literally walking distance, we never did but you really could. The house has everything one would need, we ate at the table, ample dishes and utensils for dinner with 4+ people, had a great bottle of wine provided by the owner, we did laundry, and used the hot tub. The hot tub was a feature I really didn't think we would even use. I have one at home and hardly use it. In wine country things close early and we were on Central time anyway, the hot tub was a really nice way to end the day. The house is of older construction, smaller rooms, smaller bathrooms, but enough for 2 couples and the remodels almost make you forget its age. The house was clean and nicely landscaped. The yard was private and the road has minimal traffic. The beds are as everyone else reviewed, just heavenly. The only thing I would change about our trip is to have added more days at this location. There is too much to do. Oh, I almost forgot, Cafe Citti is a must for dinner. Thanks Rob, and I hope the house is available on our next trip to Sonoma."

  • Great to Relax

"I just wanted to say thank you for the use of your house. The accommodations were very nice and there was nothing we needed that wasn't there. The heat worked well which I always appreciate being a cold blooded soul. We had a very nice time, maybe one of our best in Healdsburg in many years. We went to Chalkboard on Tuesday night and the meal was very nice, we went to Vallete on Wednesday night and if it wasn't the best meal we've ever eaten it was certainly in the class picture. The service, the courtesy and certainly the meals themselves were amazing. Last night we went to John Ash in north Santa Rosa and had a very nice Thanksgiving meal. We went to Matrix and VML right together and bought pinot from both. Very good. We went to Dutton Goldfield a past favorite and rekindled our relationship with some of the best pinot we've tasted in some time. We also went to Pappapietry Perry as always and bought a full box of pinot from them so all in all we had to leave town while we had any money left. We'll definitely be back!"
