  • Homey with a view!

"6 of us spent a week at Jeff/Jackie's house in early October. Overall the home is inviting and the decks allow some awesome views. The beds, linens, towels, etc were all top notch and very comfy. They even had an extra toothbrush which was great because my husband forgot his. The hot water took a little to figure out, but Jeff was very responsive once we texted him. We cooked a big breakfast each day before wine tasting and found all the supplies that we needed available in the kitchen. My only suggestions to make it perfect would be to add some sort of fire pit / heater, so the patios can be used on cool evenings. Replace the spiral with a conventional stairs (after wine this became a little too treacherous) and add a few more kitchen towels. Overall it worked great for the 3 couples and I'd recommended this for your next trip! Norene G."

  • Beautiful place

"Pelican Perch is a beautiful home in a beautiful setting. It was roomy and clean and nicely furnished. We loved it. We did, however, experience a few problems. 1. Both exterior back door handles came off, causing us to feel a bit insecure. 2. There was standing water in both downstairs showers. 3. The heater didn't work in two downstairs bedrooms and it seemed like all of the heat went into one bedroom making it unbearably warm. 4. The directions to enter he home were unclear. There is no lockbox and we looked all over for one in the dark. We finally figured out there was a keypad on the front door. It isn't lit until being used, so we had a hard time finding it and figuring it out. Overall, and other than these minor problems, the place was great. I hate to complain but I thought the owner were would want to be made aware of these problems."

  • Cozy vineyard cottage

"All the comforts of home with none of the stress. Steve and Linda greeted us when we arrived. They were always willing to answer questions and give suggestions for sightseeing, dinner or anything else. Even though the cottage is close to their home, you have all the privacy you want. We enjoyed our conversations with them throughout the week. The cottage was clean, nicely decorated and convenient to everything. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. There were wineries galore within walking, biking and driving distance. We picked fresh berries right along the road for breakfast one morning. It provided a great place to relax after a day of wine tasting, hiking the redwood forest or a day at the beach. We would love to stay there again."
