  • Over the top!

"We were a group of 4 couples (50+). Upon entry into this home, we were breathless. Throughout our stay, the attention to detail was consistently evident in this home. Each couple had their own bedroom and bathroom. This was a pre-requisite for me. We drew names upon our arrival as to who would get which room. My husband drew "the Master". It was breathtaking. I felt like we were in our own private suite. The bedroom was extremely large with a beautiful bow window nook overlooking the pool and backyard. We had a balcony off the bedroom. The bed, linens, etc. were crisp and clean. The bed was very comfortable. If that wasn't enough, the room just kept going! We had an enormous walk-in/walk-through closet that had more cabinets than we could have filled. The bathroom was very large and immaculate! The ceramic tile, double sink vanity and walk-in shower was gorgeous! Last but not least, there was yet but another "sitting room" off the walk-in/walk-through closet! The rest of the home was just as impressive. The kitchen left nothing for us to need. The dishes, pots and pans, etc. exceeded our expectations. They were impressive and of very good quality. Nothing was spared in going the extra mile in this home. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and hot tub most evenings. In addition, the grounds were very secluded and quiet! I would be remiss if I didn't end with mentioning that this home was immaculately CLEAN! I loved this home. It was perfect for our group of 4. When we each retreated to our own rooms, it was like no one else was there. I would definitely recommend this rental home. I have absolutely no complaints! The homeowners were extremely kind and, while they lived on the property, you would never have known they were there. It was a reassurance that they were in case we needed anything. Thank you Ann and Norm for opening your beautiful home!"

  • Amazing Property

"The photos do not begin to do justice to this beautiful home. The home is big enough for a large group to be comfortable and the kitchen is perfect for cooking for large groups. The outdoor patios are spectacular and provide amazing views on a clear day. We loved the indoor/outdoor options and were blessed with great December weather. The hot tub was also a great addition, also with views in all directions. This is truly a private property with no immediate neighbors yet easy to get to the wine country and surrounding areas (if you ever want to leave the property!) Would love to return in the future"

  • Fantastic Home!

"Thank you Tim & Naomi for allowing us to stay in your beautiful and very comfortable home! The house had everything we needed and more, especially the kitchen and pantry staples. There were 6 adults in our party; we all loved the open kitchen and family area that looked out onto your beautiful yard and creek. The house was amazing; updated, clean and very comfortable. We cooked dinner two nights and enjoyed the lighted backyard cabana afterward as well as the spa. We loved every minute and would be happy to recommend your property to anyone. Thank you again! (Best of all the location was perfect, situated only 2 minutes from Landmark and Chateau St Jean wineries - you're in a beautiful neighborhood! And you're right - Landmark was a fun, relaxing place to play corn hole and bocce during cocktail hour. You also recommended The Star in Glen Ellen, which was our favorite meal - thx!)"

  • Beautiful, but no doors to bedrooms or bathrooms, privacy issue

"The good: Very beautiful home. Very comfortable living room, well laid out to take advantage of views. Very well appointed kitchen, with sunny outlook on beautiful garden in one direction and ocean view on the other. Love the concrete countertops and sink. Spacious, clean laundry room -- all appliances in great condition Small office area, with views. Great ventilation and raccoon-resistant windows. Nice small upper deck for star watching. Perfect for a couple, or family unconcerned with privacy. Clean, well decorated Responsive host (see below, however) On-street parking area nearby (rare at Sea Ranch) The bad: The BEDROOMS and BATHING AREAS have NO DOORS, and the shower has NO shower curtain or other privacy barrier. Snoring, bathroom noises, intimate relations -- everyone can hear them everywhere in the house due to the "open" plan. Taking a shower is not for the modest. One toilet room has a door, but the other has a large half-moon-shaped cutout in the door, at eye level: cute, but big enough to stick your head through. Again, not much privacy. The unusual degree of openness in the plan of the home is not disclosed in the description of the home. I believe the host SHOULD disclose it in the description of the home. It will turn off some potential renters, but I would have been more satisfied with the home without the marketing deception. View of ocean includes parking area/paved turnaround. Unavoidable. We stayed in the home with another couple. Good, old friends, we were able to work around the open plan and appreciate the positive aspects of the home. I would recommend it for one couple if the price were lower. But for two couples, I prefer at least one door."
