  • Best of Salmon Creek!

"Hattie's Cottage, light filled and spacious, feels like a lovingly created and cared for home rather than a tourist rental. Robin is obviously an artist--the decor is so tasteful and comfortable. The bed upstairs is just firm enough--super comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with new cabinets and new appliances plus every little thing you might need for cooking at home, and everything works! The lovely hosts, Robin and Randy (and Hattie the dog) live right across the street and are generous, available and responsive when needed while being completely respectful of visitors' privacy. The amazing two mile white sand beach seen from the gorgeous picture windows both in the living and dining rooms is five minutes' easy walk from the house. It's different every day and inexplicably empty most of the time, even in the summer ... except for the many kinds of birds staging hysterical performance shows on the seashore and around the creek. Lots to do in the area within short driving distance in any direction, if you're in an active mood. Robin put together a fantastic info book with up-to-date recommendations of where to eat and what to do to last you for weeks on end. This time around, I spent three weeks here on a solo winter retreat just hanging out, walking the beach, and staring into space. By the end I basically wanted to move in and never leave. Not even to go out to my very favorite restaurant in a 50 mile radius, the Terrapin Creek Café. We have stayed in five other places in Salmon Creek and Hattie's takes the Grand Prix!"

  • Beautiful house, beautiful view!

"I would highly recommend this house. We were not able to enjoy all of the outdoor amenities ( hot tub, decks, BBQ, river activities) due to the rainy weather, but the inside is so comfy and cozy that we really didn't care that much. The kitchen is very well stocked and the beds are cozy. We loved waking up and having coffee on the enclosed porch room and enjoying the river and mountain view. Picture the misty river and the grazing animals on the hill. Then we ended our evenings relaxing in front of the gas fireplace. Heavenly. I personally loved the decor of the house. Our only issue was having to wait a bit for hot water and a faucet problem but the owner is very quick to respond to any questions/problems. The house is at the end of a narrow, muddy at the time road so it is a bit out of the way. But, it is a very short distance to the ocean and any number of wineries."

  • Beautiful property in a wonderful location

"What a wonderful place to stay while enjoying the sites and activities of the local area. Windsor manor is an immaculately clean, beautifully decorated town home with all of the amenities of home. It is within very short walking distance of fantastic restaurants, wine tasting establishments, and upscaled shopping. The location is in the heart of wine country with easy access to Sonoma and Napa. I would highly recommend staying here for a relaxing and satisfying vacation!"

  • Beautiful stay among the vineyards!

"It was my husband and I's first time visiting the Napa-Sonoma region and we are so glad that we decided to stay here! Char was wonderful and helpful if we had questions. The property is beautiful! Staying among the grape vines during this time of year (September) was beautiful. There is also outside activities outside of the rental - table and chairs, bocce ball and all the amenities you would need in the cottage. It's probably noted in the listing, there was no tv, which did not bother us as we were on vacation. About 2 miles from downtown Sonoma which is super cute and has such lovely places! Char gave some great suggestions or places to visit too! I am really into 'Champagne' (sparkling wine done in the traditional method) and Gloria Ferrer is almost right around the corner from this rental - great views and wine. We would absolutely stay here again and cannot wait to plan a trip back! Thank you Char!"
