  • Delightful..

"Five friends shared this bungalow for three nights and loved it. It is charming, extremely clean, cozy and comfortable. We loved our drinks at the little private outside table surrounded by flowers and hummingbirds. Everything we needed was provided in the kitchen and baths. It is an easy walk to town which in wonderful considering the parking situation in Carmel. An added plus is the outdoor theater around the street. Lynette was wonderful to work with and was always very responsive and helpful. I would certainly recommend Honey's Retreat."

  • Great house in a great location. The best we have found on VRBO

"The property is beautifully furnished, well maintained, and stocked with all the essentials. Great pool and outdoor living area. The owners are always on hand in case of need, and happy to help. If you value cleanliness, quality and style, look no further! This was our second stay at the property and we'll definitely be back soon. Thank you Darin and Patrick for making our stay so enjoyable and carefree."

  • Perfect getaway for our family!

"Our family of four very much enjoyed staying at Lisa and Tom's Ocean Front property. The place was extremely clean and comfortable (the beds were amazing!). It was stocked with almost everything we could have wanted: small coolers, beach chairs, boogie boards, kitchen/grilling utensils. We opened a bottle of wine and could have used a wine stopper (the cork didn't fit), but we managed. Lisa and Tom were always available to answer our questions. The internet was spotty and calls dropped, but it sounded like that wasn't typical so hopefully that will be fixed. The views were stunning and we loved listening to the waves crashing on shore. Low-flying planes pass overhead quite frequently, but that didn't bother us much at all. Although the patio is a common area, it didn't feel that way. We rarely saw any of the other guests in the four-plex. The patio was very comfortable and there was a gas grill where we cooked our steak and freshly caught fish. The sliding screen door kept falling off and Tom said they kept having to replace it because the salt air is hard on the wheels. He said we could just let it lean against the glass, but we kept putting it back up because we liked to have the breeze. Parking was available across the alley and was very convenient. Since parking in Ocean Beach is not so easy, we walked everywhere. After all, we were only a few blocks from everything. We recommend the great coffee and chai at The Coffee Method, fantastic smoothies at Newbreak Coffee & Café, fresh donuts and pastries at OB Donuts, and scrumptious pizza at Pizza Port. The beach and fishing pier were within easy walking distance (2 blocks), as well. We rode rented bikes through Mission Beach and felt claustrophobic with all of the people there. It's a very different vibe at Lisa and Tom's Ocean Beach property, where you feel like you're in a small community, rather than a crowded resort. When we come back to OB, we can't imagine staying anywhere else. Thank you for a wonderful vacation!"

  • Great place to stay!

"We loved staying at this fully stocked condo. You can't beat the walk to the slopes. Kersten was available via text message to answer any questions we had while staying there. Having laundry facilities in the condo would have been helpful, as it was an extremely wet day on the slopes and our gear was soaked! The complex does have a laundry room, but we were there in the middle of a storm and unable to just walk over to use it. Having the spa so close was a nice treat at the end of the ski day."
