  • Quiet and quaint

"Idyllic get away, only an hour from downtown Denver, lovingly decorated, perfectly suited for a few days of rest in privacy in a quiet and cozy atmosphere . Full kitchen with everything you need. If you don't want to drive 13 miles to the next town for shopping, it's advisable to bring all groceries etc. with you......there is a huge fridge!!"

  • The property is very well kept, and beautiful.

"We had a great time. Wether we were hanging out inside, on the patio or catching brookies at the creek, life is great at this cabin. For more determined fishermen like us, the north platte river is only an hour from the cabin. We didn't want to leave and we're definitely going back. There's a reason this cabin is always booked. Tani was awesome. She greeted us upon arrival and helped us to feel as welcome as family. She's pretty awesome. I highly recommend this place."

  • Wonderful Vacation!

"We were a party of 6 (three couples) and this home provided ample room for privacy as well as large living areas for hanging out as a group. The house is very well maintained, very clean and comfortable. The owners were not present during our stay but Rebecca was very kind and responsive when we called with a few questions. The scenery from the living room and dining room windows is just beautiful! We traveled for shopping and sight seeing most days but spent the late afternoons and early evenings outside on the deck. We enjoyed watching the hummingbirds and made sure to fill the feeder when it was empty so they wouldn't leave looking for a meal elsewhere. There was also a beautiful red-headed woodpecker who occasionally came to drink. There were deer in the front yard one evening and deer directly behind the house on another day. My brother-in-law befriended one of the chipmunks (who he named Theodore). Every day when we arrived back at the house Theodore came scampering out of the wood pile in search of more sunflower seeds. We had a wonderful vacation and would recommend this home for families who enjoy sight-seeing, or those who just want a place to stay and relax. Thank you for sharing your home with us!"

  • Mountain Paradise

"We booked this place for our extended family of 8 visiting Colorado for a week in August. The house is spacious and peaceful. At night we could relax in the hot tub while staring at the stars and twinkling city lights in the distance. In the morning we awoke to birdsongs and hummingbirds feeding on the deck. The kitchen pleased my mother who doted on the large stove and made big family breakfasts for us most days. As others have mentioned, this place makes a perfect "basecamp" for your Rocky Mountain vacation. Whether it's hiking to Rocky Mountain National Park, sight-seeing in Denver and Boulder, tubing or taking a brewery tour in Golden or panning for gold in historic Idaho Springs, everything is nearby but far enough away for you to have privacy, tranquility, space to relax and take in the absolutely breath-taking views of the natural surroundings. Would book again without question!"
