  • Perfect location and property

"A few old friends of mine were traveling to Colorado for a Red Rocks concert. We picked this property to get some fresh air, get away from the city, but be close to Red Rocks. This location has it all - beautiful scenery, great location, immaculately maintained. Couldn't have asked for a better property - I will be staying here again in the future. Nancy was very friendly and easy to work with. Thanks!"

  • Special place in the moutains

"We had a wonderful time at this property. The owner is very nice and friendly. He stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed. The normal check in is 4:00 pm and check out is 10:00 am. But the owner allowed us to check in anytime we wanted on the day of our arrival and to also check out whenever we wanted to on our departure day. We had a lot of extended family members with us and we had plenty of room for everyone. We had three grand kids in our group and they loved the hot tub in the evenings. The rooms are large, very clean and the kitchen is well equipped with everything you need for cooking. We really enjoyed our stay at this property."

  • The Perfect Getaway

"The Writer's Nest was perfect for me and my wife for our Anniversary trip! Secluded area and uninterrupted views off the balcony, Harvest moon-rise after sunset. Michael and his staff gave us all the info we needed to arrive hassle free. Any question I texted was answered immediately, great recommendations on restaurants and hikes. Hope to return soon!"

  • Mountain Paradise

"We booked this place for our extended family of 8 visiting Colorado for a week in August. The house is spacious and peaceful. At night we could relax in the hot tub while staring at the stars and twinkling city lights in the distance. In the morning we awoke to birdsongs and hummingbirds feeding on the deck. The kitchen pleased my mother who doted on the large stove and made big family breakfasts for us most days. As others have mentioned, this place makes a perfect "basecamp" for your Rocky Mountain vacation. Whether it's hiking to Rocky Mountain National Park, sight-seeing in Denver and Boulder, tubing or taking a brewery tour in Golden or panning for gold in historic Idaho Springs, everything is nearby but far enough away for you to have privacy, tranquility, space to relax and take in the absolutely breath-taking views of the natural surroundings. Would book again without question!"
