  • Family stay

"Clean, Well appointed cabin perfect for a family of 6. Plenty of room and allowed us to watch movies, play chess, and explore the outdoors. Located near enough to metro area to still visit family. Owner/hostess was easy to communicate with and welcoming in our exchanges. The cabin was larger than the photos give impression of. Lots of nature trails and parks near by. Restaurants and markets in near by village. Would stay again and recommend to any wanting to stay in a wonderful historic cabin but still modern."

  • Unplug and Reconnect...

"I loved my time and Nancy and John`s property. I would come back again. I want to share one moment that moved me the most. I am a mom of three kids, under 10 and my day revolves mostly around serving their needs, such as crafting a breakfast, making beds, vacuuming rooms, washing dishes and many other things I do not particularly enjoy, but do it because it is the right things to do, and mostly because it is what is expected of me. When I decided to take a break and leave for three days, things were not going well at home, and it was mostly due to my burnt out situation. It was Friday night when I arrived, my hosts were very pleasant and showed me the room and explained the rules. I was pleased with the cleanliness of the place and the layout of the house. What really made a difference for me, was the morning... I woke up at 7am, which is quite late for me, I was still tired and hungry but was not sure what to expect. I came upstairs and looked at the kitchen. The kitchen table was empty but the countertops were full of amazing, wholesome, natural food!!! Someone woke up before I did and FIX ME breakfast. I got teary in my eyes. I have to tell you, last time anyone made me breakfast was... ohh man, it has been a long time!! It was actually my mom, about 20 years ago.. I loved the crunchy granola and amazing bread and yogurt and my own bowl of fresh fruit.. It made my day and it made my stay.. I really appreciated the time you guys took to take care of me and my needs. I loved the lake and the trials nearby and loved spending time reading, thinking and laughing with my sister.. This trip really changed my view on vacationing, since the rental is 1 hour drive from my house. I was 100% on vacation, felt pampered and taken care of, and THAT my friends, something that does not happen very often!!! I loved it, I know you will do too.. Thank you guys!!!"

  • Easy access, great for families!

"We loved this rental for our family of 6. The kids loved being near the basketball court and having the hot tub and pool table at the house. Great location for a lot of fun things and beautiful view!"

  • Just what we were looking for!

"My girlfriend and I were looking for a 'home base' close to RMNP, so that we could do some hiking and enjoy some piece and quiet away from the hustle and bustle. This is the perfect place for that. It's very close to some great trailheads including Wild Basin, Twin Sisters, and if Long's Peak. It's also about a 20 minute drive up to Estes Park if you want to do some shopping and such. The cabin itself is very nice. Fully furnished, clean, and spacious. The wrap around deck is beautiful! I needed to detach, so the lack of internet/cell coverage was definitely a plus. If you really need to connect, you can drive a few minutes on the highway toward Estes to get service. There are two cabins located next to each other, sharing a beautiful creek running through the property (I miss hearing the sound of that creek to be honest). The cabins are set between what I would call two ravines. Across the creek there is a shared area where you can build a wonderful fire (wood was provided!). The cabins are far enough from each other to create privacy; however, if you were coming with a group or want absolute privacy, getting both would also be outstanding. Allenspark is a small town with a couple of good restaurants. We really enjoyed the natural spring water station and filled up our water bottles there daily. If you can splurge, I recommend the FawnBrook restaurant - it was amazing. Kudos to Catherine for a great place to stay - I recommend it highly, and would definitely return!!"
