  • Executive Retreat

"Spent 3 nights in June, 2016 with business friends for the weekend. The property is in excellent shape and was very comfortable. Plenty of space to hang out and a nice quiet back yard and in a quiet neighborhood. Grilling was easy and close to the kitchen. Large kitchen area and spacious dining. Two of us are hikers and did Sanitas twice early in the morning. Chautauqua Park is very close by and offers great hiking too. Close to Pear street and far enough from CU but we were there after school was out for summer. No one had any complaints about the location or accommodations. I recommend it for a small group of friends, girls weekend, or a family or two."

  • Charming cottage in a wonderful location!

"We spent Columbus Day weekend in this lovely cottage. It was all we expected, and more. The owners were easy to contact and friendly, and they have a lovely space nestled in the mountains. The care and attention to detail they put into the renovations are evident in every room, from the well-equipped kitchen and bath to the gorgeous family room with french doors. We enjoyed the patio and front porch, too and were lucky enough to witness the beautiful autumn color show - golden aspens right outside! The location was unique, in a historical mining town. A real blast from the past, but with updated amenities and a wonderful location to visit more of Colorado. Hope we can return!"

  • Wonderful stay!

"We absolutely enjoyed our stay! The views are absolutely amazing! We also loved the decor and the little special touches all around the cabin. My husband said he enjoyed being able to have a washer and dryer! We did not see much wildlife, one doe, one bunny and a couple chipmunks. The hot tub was amazing! It was so nice to soak at night under the stars! We definitely would like to return!"

  • Wonderful Home -- Wonderful Vacation!

"Following three days in Grand Lake, my husband and I stayed at the Strong House from October 6-10, 2015. This cabin was neat, clean, very stocked, and it was a perfect retreat at the end of each day at the RMNP! I search for weeks on end for the perfect "base camp," and finally found the Strong House. The location was perfect for us, and upon arrival the first night, a herd of elk greeted us in the yard! As an added plus, the mattress was simply amazing! Thank you, Mrs. Ware, for offering your perfect cabin -- we will be back! Paul and Tammy Alabama"
