  • The PERFECT Cabin in Estes Park!

"My boyfriend and I were looking for a quaint cabin-like experience away from the hustle and bustle of Estes Park, but not too far away where we would have to travel long to get groceries/go out to eat. D'Rae and Kim's cabin was an absolute DREAM for what we were needing. The cabin itself is at the very end of a small neighborhood a couple miles from downtown Estes. When we arrived (pretty late around 11pm), the cabin was toasty and well-lit because D'Rae had (very considerately) turned on the heaters and lights for us ahead of time. The cabin itself was cozy and PERFECT for two people. We enjoyed the fully-stocked kitchen which had everything from skillets, to cutting boards, to the typical appliances like a microwave and coffee maker. It should be noted though that there isn't a dishwasher, but that was not an inconvenience for us. Each room has an adjustable heater that works like a charm, so you can program each room to be as warm as you'd like. The TV has about 50 channels (ranging from movies, news, and sports), which was all we needed. The bedroom did have a full-size bed instead of a queen like we had read in the description, but it was incredibly comfortable and there were plenty of extra pillows and blankets to keep us happy. The HIGHLIGHT of our stay was exploring and enjoying the property itself, which was about 1/2 an acre large and had an INCREDIBLE view. My boyfriend and I explored Estes Park and I didn't see any property that had as great of a view as ours. It was secluded and surrounded by Lumpy Ridge mountains, which were covered in gorgeous white snow when we went. D'Rae was kind enough to drop off some sleds for us to use, although I accidentally broke one and she was super gracious about it!! They also plowed the entire driveway and road leading up to the cabin for us without us even asking--completely complimentary and so considerate! The ONLY things that I would say that would make our stay at Counting Stars better would have been a fireplace (they do have a fire pit and BBQ grill outside on the porch, but it was too cold to use) and a covered parking area so that our rental car would be sheltered (we ended up parking it under a tree when we got a downpour of snow overnight). If you're looking for a cozy cabin close to RMNP (10 min) and near the cute beautiful town of EP (5 min) then look no further than Counting Stars Cabin!! You won't be disappointed!! My boyfriend and I cannot wait to return and rent here again!!"

  • Beautiful

"The house was beautiful. It was perfect for our family. We love Estes Park and it was so nice to visit again. The house was in great condition. We saw a bobcat as well as many deer around the house. The humming birds were very friendly as well. We loved sitting on the balcony in the morning and watching the sun come up over the mountains! The owners provided great info in a notebook. We would absolutely recommend this house to others. The pictures on the VBRO site were an exact description of the house both inside and out. Thanks for sharing your home with us!"

  • Wonderful stay, super location!

"Great long weekend stay! The Gambee's are great to work with and are there for your every need. We actually stayed in unit 12b because of an issue with unit 8 but were not inconvenienced whatsoever. Great condo, well stocked kitchen, everything you would need for your weekend or weeklong getaway. Short walk into Estes for shopping and great food, leave the car at home! Rocky Mountain National Park, the most beautiful park in the country in my opinion, is just a short drive. Overall a 5 star stay, and Kelli, we'll be back. Thank you for your hospitality, we've stayed at 2 of your condos and we were not disappointed by any means."
