  • Clean and cozy cottage

"We had a great time staying here during our trip to Estes Park. It is in a great location and is truly walking distance to the town as advertised! The house was simple, clean, and nicely maintained. Would definitely stay again!"

  • Perfect Place for 30 person, 1 week, family reunion!

"My family of 30, ages 2 1/2 to 72, stayed here for a week in late July. Beautiful property with hammocks; lounge chairs; outdoor covered eating area (The Cantina) with either picnic benches or tables and chairs that can be set up, a fire pit with lots of seating, a large grill, stove and oven and sink; horse shoes and sand bag game; frisbee golf and beautiful view. The main rooms are quite lovely and spacious with extra seating in most. There are two very tiny rooms which were probably walk-in closets that have reasonably comfortable beds, but they are not a place you would want to spend a lot of time unless you want to lay back and read or use your computer. They worked ok for two separate single people in their 40's. Would work well for teens and young adults, too. The sleeping porch is off the living room and is enclosed in glass, with glass also looking into the living room. This is bright in the morning, and also loud and bright if you try to go to bed early since it is off the living room. The sleeping bunk cabins are great for the kids and young adults if needed, with a toilet and sink very close by. The small and large cabin are perfect if a family sub-group needs their own space - they have their own kitchens, bathrooms and small living areas. The living room, dining room and eating areas are of good size. We were all comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, blender, toasters, coffee makers, large bowls, crockpot, etc. I recommend bringing a sharp knife or two if possible. We also mostly used disposable plates and utensils along with what was there to limit clean-up and limit running the dishwasher all the time. They provide plenty of towels and you can also do laundry if needed. Close enough to town yet away from the hustle and bustle. Elk walked right across the yard while we were outside having a 50th wedding anniversary party! Gisele was very helpful answering all my questions over email before we arrived, and easy to reach by phone once we were there. We had some reunion favors to hand out and we were able to ship them to here in advance. The entire family commented on what a great place this was and all thought it worked out wonderfully!"

  • Wonderful Lodging experience for a group

"My women's group has held retreats at Fall River lodge for the last 4 years. The owners, Carol and Bob, are lovely and accommodating. The lodge itself is located in a gorgeous spot, with Fall River just behind it. We were able to do a meditation outside, and the only witnesses were a flock of wild turkeys. It has two well stocked kitchens, one on the main floor and a smaller one downstairs. IThe great room is a very comfortable place to gather. It's location is very close to Rocky Mt. Natl. Park, as well as town."

  • More than we expected

"We stayed in this house for 3 nights right before Christmas. It was so much more than we expected. The views were breathtaking. You look out into the mountains. The property is very wooded so you do not see any other houses around you. We didn't know how tastefully festive the house would be decorated. We had brought our own decorations and did not even take them out of the boxes. The fireplace was my favorite feature of the house. My husband kept a fire going almost the whole time we were there. The bed in the master was very comfortable. All of the furnishings were up to date and comfortable. Regrettably we did not use the hot tub, every day we thought the next day would be the one. The kitchen is full stocked with anything you may need to prepare a meal. The appliances are all top of the line right now to the front load washer and dryer. All of the comforts of home. It is recommended that you have a AWD vehicle in the winter the driveway is a bit steep as well as the road leaving the house. The main roads are very well maintained as the hospital is on the main road. You will not be disappointed if you decide to stay here."
