  • Picturesque, clean mountain home!

"My wife and I along with our two small children (1yr & 3yrs) rented this awesome house for a last minute ski vacation in March/2016. Judith was extremely friendly and responsive to our many inquiries. The house was exactly as described and couldn’t have been more perfect for our needs. It was fully stocked with all the required household items any family would need including kitchen, bathroom, Wi-Fi, DirecTV, laundry and bedding. We did have an issue with the bathroom plumbing one morning but a quick text to Judith and she had a maintenance guy make the repairs before we were back later that afternoon. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet right at the base of a mountain or really big rocky hill at least, even has deer roaming the streets on several occasions which our kids loved! The town couldn’t have been more perfect. There was a ski rental store in town that served us wonderfully, a library for the kids and for our printing needs and I can’t speak enough praise to the Shell station (yes… “Shell” station) that supplied our breakfast and lunch needs every day. They have a lady in the back that makes a long list of homemade goodies daily. Every morning we would stop in and get several breakfast burritos, coffee (bad ass coffee at that!) pastries and lunch items to feed a family of 4 to bring to the ski resort for later. I can tell you that I was unable to spend more than $16.00 on all of these items when it cost $13.00 at the resort for one coffee and one mango juice. I can’t stress enough how great this shell station is and if you don’t try them then you’re certainly missing out! I highly recommend this property and our family will definitely be calling Judith for our next Colorado ski trip!"

  • Like staying at a friends home.

"Great location. Warm feel to the condo. It's like someone lives there all the time. There is coffee in the cabinets. Condiments in the fridge and all the things you would have, as if you were at home, so you can cook. But thereally are nice little places to eat close by, so you don't have to cook. Liz is great to work with, she is concerned that you have a nice stay. Would recommend to anyone. Mark- Florida"

  • Fantastic find

"We had a wonderful experience at this location. The accommodations suited our group perfectly. The kids loved the bunk room. All 10 of us were able to have our meals together at the large dining room table. We also had lunch on the back patio one afternoon. The renovated upstairs bathroom was a huge hit with the tweens/teens in our group. The owners were always responsive and easy to work with. The house has an amazing front porch. The adults and kids alike loved the character of this old house. We have stayed at many VRBO properties but the kitchen in this property was by far the best stocked kitchen I have ever seen. Not only was the pantry well stocked with condiments and spices but there were also plenty of appliances (waffle maker, blender, bread maker) available . There were many books and games available too. Our group stayed at this house for a weekend but it could very easily serve as a base for a much longer stay. The onsite washer and dryer is a great bonus too. Overall we would highly recommend this home."

"May be the best vacation rental in Georgetown! This is what sticks out in our minds after returning home. 1. TRUE TO ITS ADVERTISING. Not only is this property description and photos true to its advertising, but they are better. 2. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. The cottage is a couple blocks off the historic strip, but far enough away to feel secluded. The creek is close enough to hear and everything is in walking distance. It’s corner lot with lots of parking in front and side. 3. PERFECT CHILL-ZONE. When I get away I want to relax. This property has comfortable furniture, large flat screen TV, games, reading material, outdoor seating, good cell signal, wifi, movies, and is cable ready. The extra TV in the master bedroom was a bonus! 4. FAMILY FRIENDLY. From space, bedding, bathrooms, towels and kitchen supplies, the cottage is really convenient in accommodating families. My adult kids joined us at different parts of our stay and the place was big enough for everyone to be comfortable and yet have privacy. 5. VERY FUNCTIONAL KITCHEN. Part of the reason we pay more for a vacation rental is to be able to have breakfast and easily cook dinner in the house. The kitchen was stocked with extra spices and a few condiments, stainless steel appliances, plenty of dishes, pans, cups and glasses and just about everything you need to cook a great meal. Table seats six and there’s even outdoor seating and a grill on the patio. 6. GOOD BEDS. I have a bad back so the biggest bummer traveling is the cheap mattresses and squeaky beds. Not so in this place. There were good mattresses, extra blankets and sheets, clean linens and pillows. 7. PET ACCOMMODATIONS. Our dog is as much a part of my family that we could not vacation without him. Not only does this owner accommodate certain pets, but the house and fenced in yard makes taking them so much easier. 8. REASONABLE PRICE. Everything from the price, cleaning fee to check-in and check-out times were very reasonable. The payment methods were safe and reliable. 9. THOUGHTFUL OWNER. The owner sent an email with all the helpful information including things we would have forgot. 10. GUANELLA PASS: This cottage is at the bottom of Guanella Pass. Takes twenty-five minutes to drive up the summit and see lakes, streams, majestic views, wildlife and everything else that makes Colorado ground zero for majestic scenery. We’ll be back!"
