  • Good Stay

"Home was clean and comfortable. We had a great stay. Next time we will bring dish towels and extra blankets as these were limited. Website listed that there was a gas grill but there was no propane tank. Overall very nice home and stay."

  • Wonderful views and very pleasant decor.

"The home is furnished nicely and fitting of a mountain retreat. We enjoyed our stay. The owners were so accommodating and the office handling the keys was very friendly and efficient. Neighbors around were all quiet and nice. Everyone we met walking around was very friendly."

  • Great Place for a Family Reunion

"I just got back from a wonderful week-long family vacation at the Lodge. The Lodge exceeded our every expectation. It is a beautiful home that accommodated our extended family of 16 very well. Located just seven miles from the interstate northwest of Idaho Springs, it was a great location for us; secluded but yet accessible. We had family come in from three states and they were all quite impressed with the Lodge. Kitchen was fully furnished. LARGE dining room table accommodated meals and evening games nicely. Hot tub was a nice feature. Large deck surrounding two sides of the house was great for family gatherings. Fireplace in the evening was a nice touch. The younger relatives enjoyed the huge TV in the lower level. The stream right beside the house gave us the wonderful sound of rushing water. St Mary's Glacier hike and the ATV tour company just up the road gave us some convenient family activities. We also saw two wonderful bull moose just a couple of miles up the road from the lodge which was a special treat. We ate some meals in the Lodge and also visited the brewery and also the pizza place in Idaho Springs which is about 10 miles away. I highly recommend this property."

  • We had a great time and a lot of fun!

"The cabin we stayed in Idaho Springs turns out to be a real historic miner's cabin built in very beginning of last century. There is an actual mine nearby to take a tour. The location was perfect: just a few blocks to the center of Idaho Springs, restaurants, BBQ spots, coffee shops and more. We loved to walk the old streets of this historic town and admire facades of little Victorian houses. We went to an antique shop, coffee shop, Ice-cream shop and Pinball Parlor. We had dinner at Smoking Yard BBQ (great food by the way) and Tommy-knockers Brewery. We did white water rafting ( highly recommend!) and zip lining during our stay. It was nice to come back to the cabin as our "home away from home" to relax on the deck in the back. The patio furniture is new and comfortable. We had BBQ one day there. The neighbor around and people in Idaho Springs are very nice and friendly. The cabin was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The view from the front porch and back yard very very nice. The kitchen was fully equipped. The cabin isn't big but it is comfortable for 4-5 guests. We are thinking about coming back in winter to try some skiing or snowboarding in Loveland."
