  • Great Cabin close to Everything in Front Range

"We had such a good time at Julia's Cabin in Idaho Springs. The cabin is cozy and offers a nice view from the deck. It is within a short walk to the historic part of Idaho Springs. We enjoyed walking to the restaurants nearby and small coffee shops. We ski Loveland Ski resort in just a few miles from the cabin. It was great to go to the hot springs nearby to relax after a day of skiing. We also visited another historic town nearby where they have casinos and good restaurants. Cabin had everything we needed for enjoyable stay. Julia provided a lot of information about surrounding area. It helped us to plan a great trip to the Rockies. Colorado is a gorgeous State. Cannot wait to visit again!"

  • Fun & Restful Setting!

"The lodge was absolutely great! It beat expectations. There are very few places that are so close to town, and yet give you an escape from the hubbub. The lodge was very comfortable and well equipped; there was nothing that we wanted that wasn't there. I only wished that we had a little more time to soak up the peaceful setting. Thanks to the family for opening up your getaway place to others!"

  • Cozy and Spacious, Awesome Location!

"This cabin offers distant views of the Denver skyline while being in a remote location. Loved the location, situated perfectly between civilization and many ski areas just further west. The cabin was stocked with many overlooked items and the kitchen was well suited for our family to cook and pack lunches for our many excursions. Warm and comfortable, we even rode out the better part of one day being snowed in. Deb called a few times throughout our stay to check in on us and that was reassuring. We had a great stay and will more than likely be coming back in the summer to enjoy many more features of this property. The kids loved the fire pit, and there's Directv in every room if you want the comforts of home, especially for the kids. The Scooby Doo dvd available in the owner's well apportioned movie/ reading library got us out of a jam with our preschooler too, as did the indoor tent. Yahtzee, Monopoly, cards... It was a great time with the family away from the distractions of everyday life. Cellular data is sketchy so I would suggest using either a GPS unit or download Google maps of the area onto your mobile devices for offline use, however don't depend on GPS. There is a landline into the cabin, so I wished I would have brought our laptop because we could have used dialup internet for the simple purposes of getting weather reports, menus to local restaurants etc. We are a family of 6 and had plenty of space. One last thing, the owners were great to work with I encourage you to reach out to them if you're on the fence about anything regarding the booking or just general questions. She worked with us and that made the difference in our stay. Thanks!!!"
