  • Perfect vacation home

"My husband and I together with his sister and her preteen daughter spent seven nights at Vista View Ranch while visting Evergreen for a family wedding. The home was just perfect and significantly more cost effective than a hotel. With a large grocery store nearby, a gas grill on the deck and a well equipped kitchen, we ate most meals "at home", adding to our savings. Each room is beautifully furnished and decorated, and extremely comfortable. The master bedroom and bath are spacious and simply elegant. Entertainment amenities are plentiful, including two flat-screens, full cable access and a huge library of DVDs. We enjoyed the billiards table nearly every day and the house was equipped with many other games and things to do that we never had a chance to take advantage of. Our niece loved having her own room (with its own full sized multi-game arcade console!) and especially appreciated not having to share a hotel room with her Mom. :-). The home is very clean and well equipped with literally everything we could possibly need. (The only minor issue we encountered during the entire visit was that the heating element on the clothes dryer wasn't working, so we just line-dried a load of laundry in the fresh air.) Our host, Rita, is an extraordinarily friendly, welcoming, thoughtful person and we so enjoyed meeting her. She showed us around her beautiful ranch and even conducted her handsome horses in a performance for us, which they clearly enjoyed almost as much as we did. Our niece was allowed to help tend to the horses and the resident pony and to walk Rita's two sweet pugs, which may have been the highlight of her vacation. The ranch is in a community of elegant mountain-style estates and the setting is just gorgeous, with great hiking right on the property as well as dozens of parks, sightseeing opportunities and outdoor adventures within driving distance. Elk and deer are common sights, and we even had the exciting pleasure of seeing a rare black fox. Red Rocks Ampitheatre is a half hour away and we were lucky enough to take in a concert while there. Relaxing on the enormous deck with a cocktail or in the hot tub was pure joy after a day of hiking and sightseeing. The pretty village of Evergreen with its great restaurants and shopping is right down the road and the picturesque lake in the center of town is a perfect spot for a day of kayaking, paddle boarding or peddle boating, and there's golfing right next door. Simply terrific!"

  • Everything was awesome!

"The five of us (all adults from mid-30's to upper 60's) stayed in John's condo from March 11 through March 16th and found the condo well suited for our needs. John was accommodating in the few requests we had, (meaning he didn't throw us out on the street when we needed to extend one day). The condo is well located with quick access to things to do and see, with a pretty view of the mountains. Condo was clean and well stocked. We skied, climbed the mountain on snow shoes, warmed up in the spa/sauna, and made more trips to the Safeway than we should have. Also spent an evening at Pepe Osaka's and had more margaritas than we should. John even ordered 17 inches of snow while we were there! Highly recommend this condo and owner! Only suggestions is that the instructions for the fireplace might include that it is regulated by the thermostat. Love the mountains and we'll be back. Larry"

  • Amazing Experience

"We booked this house for our family vacation. It was 2 couples, with 3 kids total, ages 2 to 5. IT WAS AMAZING. It was absolutely perfect for our kids. They loved the play room filled with unique toys, the bunk room, all the books, the kid's counter in the kitchen, and the tree house out front! The adults had everything they needed as well including really comfortable beds, a big fridge for all our food, and the swing on the front porch that overlooks the river. I would highly recommend booking this house if you have kids with you. There is even a separate room with a crib for the baby, attached to an adult room, which we used for our youngest traveler and it was quiet for naps. Booking and paying were easy. The expectations were simple (unlike other listings I've seen where you have to wash all your bed linens and remake the beds before departure) and straightforward. This was a great trip for us with no headaches or surprises. We actually liked how there was only 1 TV in the house and it was upstairs- we didnt turn it on once. We enjoyed all that the area had to offer. It was an easy drive from the house into Golden, Boulder, and Denver. Idaho Springs was fun too and we enjoyed many of the restaurants and the drive up to mount evans. All in all, I have nothing negative to say at all!"

  • Just what the doctor ordered!

"This place has exceeded my expectations.Joe was great on making sure we were taken care of. This home was in secluded friendly neighborhood. Very quiet and enjoyed my first time catching a glimpse of hummingbirds. Walk to the creek not far from the home.i enjoyed a challenging hike up St Mary's Glacier where there's snow near the top in August. I will definitely return but next time will be for a longer stay.great for the family or a couples retreat. Loved it!!"
