  • Nice condo up in the mountains!

"Nice condo high in the mountains! Perfect for a family with a kid (one in our case). Kristen was very nice and gave us detailed email in advance to our stay. The condo was in a clean and welcoming condition with view to the lake and the mountains. The only one thing we would recommend the host is leaving humidifiers in each bedroom since the altitude is so high."

  • Making plans to go back to PMH

"I took my wife and three kids to stay at the Pennington Mountain Home over the Labor Day weekend. This is such amazing home! Suzy and Michael have everything you need for you to enjoy your stay. They welcomed us with a nice gift basket full of treats. Suzy even treated us to our own personal coffee cups that she personally made. The complimentary bottle of wine really hit the spot after a long day hiking and sightseeing. The kids were always entertained with all the games available to them. Their favorite was the air hockey game. There was laundry detergent, dish soap, bar soap, and shampoo available for us. That was an added little bonus. The property is so clean and nicely manicured. There is a nice driveway where you can drive up right next to the door after each outing. So convenient when you are loading and unloading. The home is so nicely decorated with all the comforts and more that you would find at your own home. At night we would open the windows and fall asleep to the sound of the running water in the creek that ran thru the property. The kids also had fun panning for gold in that same creek only steps from the door to PMH. We saw Suzy and Michael a couple of times while we were there. They were coming and we were going. They were super friendly and ready to give us tips on where to go in the area. I wish we had stayed longer and made time to grill with them and kick back and have a drink. Next time for sure! Our favorite places to eat were Jenny's and Dairy King. Jenny's has huge portions and the food was delicious! The waitresses were so friendly. DK served some delicious hamburgers and french fries. The shakes were out of this world. It was fun sitting on the patio enjoying the weather and the good food. There is also a nice little general store with some groceries and plenty of souvenirs. I'm already making plans to go back next Labor Day weekend! We hiked the mountain right across the street from PMH with the help of Hans , their neighbor. We also drove to St. Mary's and hiked to the glacier. We went rafting down the Colorado River. That was a blast. And we caught a Rockies game. All in all, we had one of the best vacations ever. This was our first time to Colorado. The people here were so friendly. Everybody we met was so friendly. Thank you Colorado! And Thank you Suzy and Michael! Your new Friends, Gerald, Lisa and kids ."

  • So Very Relaxing!

"Couldn't have asked for a better place to unwind from it all. So peaceful, beautiful views to wake up to. Found ourselves daydreaming out the windows quite frequently. Thank you for opening your home for others to enjoy, loved it!"

  • Amazing experience, 10/10 recommend

"Staying at the Little Florence cabin was an incredible experience! The view of Mt. Evans and the continental divide is astounding. The cabin comfortably slept our party of 6 and as mentioned in the description, the cabin also provides a grill, HD TV, wireless internet, and a full kitchen. With miles of hiking trails and quick drives to Idaho Springs and alpine skiing at Echo Mountain, the location of the cabin is perfect for activities while also remaining partially isolated in the mountains. Plus, Scott and Linda are only a text/call away from anything you may need. Thank you Scott and Linda for an incredible stay!"
