  • Home exceeded our expectations

"We had a wonderful family reunion in this beautiful home. Grandma and grandpa traveled from Florida and enjoyed the luxurious master suite with the king bed, large bathroom with twin sinks, and the huge walk-in closet. Our daughter and son-in-law traveled from California with their toddler and stayed in one bedroom. Our son and his girlfriend (Colorado people) stayed in the other bedroom. The kids really enjoyed the separate downstairs living room space and deck with hot tub. We all comfortably fit in the upstairs living room with fireplace, and cooked many family meals in the large, well stocked kitchen. We enjoyed the great views from both decks, and took advantage of them daily. The location was great, just a short distance from RMNP and just the right distance away from downtown Estes Park. Everyone loved the stay here. Hope to be back again."

  • The Whole Package

"My family and our little dog had a wonderful stay at this beautiful and immaculate home! We particularly enjoyed the breathtaking scenery from the comforts of the wrap-around deck. While the online pictures are certainly lovely, they simply cannot do justice to the phenomenal views of the mountains AND Mary's Lake. One must experience them in person! The llama and elk farm next door was an added bonus. It was fun to watch the animals (including the wild elk that wandered into the yard). Overall, the setting of the house was perfect, as we loved being a part of nature while also being so close to downtown Estes Park. Jane is a fantastic hostess, and we very much enjoyed meeting her upon our arrival. It was easy to see that she takes great pride in her beautiful home. My family and I have stayed in many other places in Estes Park during our annual visits, and we feel as though we have found a true gem in Estes Valley Cottage. In the past, it has been a bit stressful to find the "perfect" house that is clean (as we admittedly have very high standards in this regard), conveniently located, and dog-friendly. Estes Valley Cottage is the whole package. We will be returning again next summer!!! ~Laura"

  • Perfect Home for a Quiet Getaway!

"This house is fantastic! I searched all over the internet for a place that was as secluded as possible to get away from the busy-ness of the real world, and Karen's place was the PERFECT home. I literally spent weeks researching various places to stay before we settled on this house. There are a few other houses scattered around, but I think we saw 2 people the entire 4 days we were there. The house is on a private road, so you really feel like you are away from the city life. It's a quick 10 minute drive (if that) to downtown Estes, so you can still access the grocery store and restaurants. The sun room in incredible! When we weren't out snow-shoeing, we sat in the sun room, enjoying the amazing view of the Rockies. We came back from Karen's place refreshed and full of life! If/when we go back to Estes Park, we will stay here!"

  • Wonderful place for a large family

"Our experience has been great. The place is spacious with 3 levels allowing two families to both hang out together and yet have some quiet down time in the second living room in the basement. Everything worked including the wonderful hottub to soothe aches and pains after a day spent hiking. The kitchen is well equipped and the owner lives not far away should you need help with anything. We cooked 3 meals a day, indoors and outdoors and did not feel the kitchen missed anything important, it was all there for us to use. Location is wonderful, allowing quick access to RMNP including the Wild Basin and Longs Peak trails, actually the location is about as good as it gets in Estes Park and the neighborhood is small and quiet with wonderful star gazing at night. The kids loved the elks that would hang out in the back yard as well as the "mini" mountain for them to explore. We will be back."
