  • Awesome remote getaway

"The yurt and property was a great place for 2 of us and our dogs to call a cozy home base for a long weekend of hiking and relaxation. We all -dogs included- enjoyed coffee and breakfast on the sunny deck each morning overlooking the gorgeous Mummy Range and feeling the sense of winding down. The property is far enough away that we got a great feeling of solitude and had completely dark skies for seeing the milky way at night. The yurt is well equipped with simple creature comforts and an easy place to settle in to. All the amenities- lanterns, cooktop, woodstove - were in working order with plenty of backup fuel/ firewood and the kitchen is stocked with enough pots, pans, dishes, etc to make even fairly elaborate meals. As a backpacker used to sleeping on the ground I feel silly writing this, but the only thing we felt was missing at the Yurt was a comfortable couch for reading or relaxing at night - the futons in the pictures have recently been replaced with traditional beds. At arrival, the portolet was ripe with odor from a busy season before our arrival, which led to a gag reaction and was the only unpleasant thing about our stay. Thank you to our host who ensured we had a comfortable getaway and provided great service in advance of our trip by quickly answering questions. We appreciate the investment you made to secure the property and make a nice and unique retreat available to rent. We would not hesitate for an instant to stay at the yurt again. Hopefully we get the opportunity."

  • Healing Mountain Cabin

"Imagine waking up to a coffee bar, crackling fire and porch swing awaiting you? This cabin welcomes all ages and animals to experience. The kids, teens, and adults enjoyed the incredible rock piles within Menominee Circle. And how wonderful to the lake hikes, minutes away by car. Bel Air has a private cove that is perfect for picnics and yoga. The kids loved kayacking to the small islands on Dowdy lake as well. In the evening, the main room is inviting for games and crafts while the huge back deck held wine and brew tastings for the adults. All the beds are comfortable and have made for a truly relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The village has so much charm and gives children a taste of how a small community works together. There's a library, local artisan stores, and a coffee shop, just to name a few quaint stops. Thank you, for sharing Socorro cabin with us."

  • Lovely property!

"We were extremely impressed with this property. Location was lovely and the house was absolutely beautiful. We stayed in February and enjoyed the fireplace every day. We loved the main floor master, open floor plan and wrap around porch. I would highly recommend this property and plan to return next year."
