"Our whole family enjoyed this vacation. Our two sons, their wives and kids stayed in this wonderful mountain log home. The Master Suite was home to our son, and his wife with their new baby. The older grand kids stayed in the sleeper cabin; what a treat for an 8 and 10 year old! Our other son stayed in the King Bedroom. The kitchen is new, as are the cooking utensils, pots, pans. We stayed and grilled most evenings, and ate outside on the deck. The Fire Pit in the cool evenings was the favorite spot for campfire stories and Smores! The men hiked Long's Peak. The women spent time shopping. The grand kids loved Fun City! We will be back for another vacation at this incredible mountain retreat. Thank you for the memorable time."

  • Awesome views great location

"First off the couch in the pictures has been replaced with a modern living room set. The hot tub has also been replaced with a hard side one. I was worried that we would be to loud but those people must have been out of control that had the police called on them. This is a very quite area of town even though it's close to the college. The house is well equipped with everything you'll need. Make sure you get up for a sunrise at least once while your there. The owner is real nice and helpful."

  • Great location - classic cabin!

"My husband and I, along with his brother & wife traveled to Estes Park to celebrate turning 50 this past year. The Shawnee Cabin was a great location for our trip. It was located on the west end of Estes Park – which allowed easy access to Rocky Mountain National Park. The cabin is classic with many original features (windows, wood trim, etc.) but with the amenities you need (hot shower, comfortable beds, etc.) A previous post indicated that one of the beds rolled to the middle. While we slept in the larger bed, our travel mates indicated that the bed was comfortable. The cabin was closer to the neighboring cabins than we had anticipated from the photos, but we rarely saw any activity come from any of the other cabins and the cabin (& neighborhood) were very quiet. We cooked breakfast & dinner each evening at the cabin. The kitchen was well stocked – cookware was nothing fancy, but it was functional. We used the outdoor grill several times which was a plus! Shawnee Cabin was a peaceful retreat at the end of each fun-filled day."

  • first time in colorado

"this was my families first time in Colorado and I am so happy that we chose this cabin to stay in, what a lovely cabin it was everything we needed for a comfortable stay the first night we came back from downtown there were elk every where all over the lawn what an amazing site to see. the river is right there near the cabin and we sat on the porch just listening to the river flowing was a nice sound. the cabin is just a few minute drive to downtown and to the RMNP entrance, the couple who owns the cabin made it a very easy for the rental process, so if you are headed to estes park this is the place to go."
