  • Easter 2016 Stay

"We very much enjoyed staying at the Aspenwood Lodge. This unit is very close to the ski lift and pool area. It is nice and light on the corner of the building. You can easily walk anywhere in Arrowhead Village/the Arrowhead condos from here. This is a good sized 2BR condo; the master bedroom fit two adults and two kids. We did not feel crowded anywhere with 6-8 people for dinner/hanging out. Plenty of comfy seating. The ski locker was easy and convenient. Our one complaint was the heat; the sun heated up the condo and it was difficult to cool down. We opened doors and windows when we got back from skiing. We highly recommend this condo for a great stay in Arrowhead."

  • Perfect spot for two families!

"We loved the house! Everything was as advertised (if not better). We had two families with elementary school aged kids, and there was plenty of room. The kitchen was very well stocked (and we did quite a bit of cooking). With young kids, the walk to the lift was doable, but the shuttle was even easier-it was always there within 5 minutes of calling. There was plenty of too to spread out, and it was a very comfortable home (it really felt like a home, and not a vacation rental). The conditions were great, and we skied 7 days in a row. We would go back and stay in the same spot in a heartbeat."

  • Very nice condo convenient to the slopes, but not ski in, ski out

"We enjoyed our stay in this condo. It was roomy, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked with ample dishes, pans, etc. One suggestion is to change the tvs to be current models, larger flat screen tvs are more appropriate for a "luxury" condo. The location is great - Arrowhead was very nice. It is a lot less busy than the other two base areas at Beaver Creek. Lots of "older" folks like ourselves and families. I take exception to the condo description that the condo is "ski-in, ski-out." Yes, the lift is a short walk (however longer than the described 50 yards), but the term "ski-in, ski-out" means you step outside, glide to the lift and you can glide back to be close to the condo - in this case I thought that would be a simple short walk either way to the snow - the 50 yard walk mentioned the description. In reality you walk a short distance to the lift, carrying your skis, walk up about 12 steps just before you get to the lift area, up to the snow, put your skis on and THEN glide to the lift. (Reverse for returning to the condo.) Its was no big deal, but for the sake of clarity, the condo description should say something like "100 yard walk to the lift," and delete the "ski-in, ski-out" statement. We ended up carrying our boots and skis to the lift area, put on our boots, put the shoes in the restaurant's locker area and then walked to the lift. (Plenty of people just walked in their boots from their condos) The base area was very nice with a cafeteria style restaurant (open for breakfast, lunch and apres' ski). The outdoor deck area was great for lunch, breaks, and drinks after skiiing. There is a ski rental location on site, but interestingly they did not offer "sport" level skis for beginners. Just mid level and performance skis. We rented the beginner ski's in Avon at Christy's. I was disappointed there was no ski valet as a part of the base amenities, particularly after seeing that the set up was not ski-in, ski-out. At other base areas there is a valet service (for a fee) where you can leave your ski's and boots (on dryers) overnight. It is well worth the extra $12 or so dollars per night I paid at Vail last year. With these few fairly petty concerns, I still rate this condo as a 5. Just be aware of the "ski-in, ski-out" description is not quite correct. The owner was responsive and the entire arrangement from start to finish was easy. Thanks, Bhim!"
