  • The property was relaxing, clean, well stocked and perfect size for our family

"I planned a birthday get away for my daughter who turned 18. We wanted to hit the Glenwood hot springs and hike hanging lake for sure, so we needed a place that was close. We were leaving from Colorado springs at 530pm after my daughter's basketball game so I wanted a place closer to Colorado springs because we were leaving so late. I assumed we could head through independence pass but didn't realize it was closed for the winter. So instead of shaving thirty minutes off my drive that night, I added forty five. My bad. It wasn't terrible, we finally showed up at the townhome at 930, we made some dinner on the grill and explored the townhome. It was just right for us. There was plenty of everything we needed, dishes, silverware, pans, laundry detergent, towels, blankets, bathrooms and room to stretch the family out. After being in the car four hours together we needed it. The place is clean and organized. On Sunday after our hike and soak in the hot springs we got to the home at six pm. We were able to relax, make some dinner, and watch some free on-demand movies on there nice flat screen TV, the radiant heat is very cozy too. The next morning we got up and headed to sunlight mountain for a day of skiing, it was a perfect end to a perfect birthday weekend for my daughter. Even if dad didn't realize independence pass was closed. I'm glad we found this place, thank you Linda"

  • A beautiful home in a majestic setting!

"We stayed here for a week in December, and got to experience the winter wonderland we had hoped for. The house is super spacious, and compared to other rentals we have stayed in it was very well stocked with the necessities of living that made it welcoming the minute we stepped in the house. The beds were very comfortable, and with four bedrooms, three full baths and two sperate living areas it was more than enough space for everyone to relax. It was so nice to sit by the cozy fireplaces and watch the snow coming down! The views are unbelievable, and we even got to see a bald eagle. We mostly spent our days skiing and then relaxing in this beautiful mountain home. Jennifer was always available to answer any questions we had and was always very welcoming to speak to. She even decorated the house for Christmas which made it even more special for our family winter vacation :). I can't speak highly enough about how much we loved this place and would definitely recommend it to anyone. Thank you Jennifer!"

  • Riverfront, friendly - quiet town

"Our family enjoyed our stay and especially hearing the river from the kitchen/patio. Patio grill worked great for fish, refrigerator and dishwasher are new and fridge had plenty of room. Washer/dryer allowed us to pack fewer clothes. Downtown Basalt is a 5 min walk to shops and everyone we talked to was friendly including the local chamber, shop owners .... Would like to return in the summertime after talking with the guys at the local fly fishing shop. Skied Aspen and Snowmass by parking at the Intercept Lot and taking the free skier shuttle. Due to the slow speed zones, traffic etc this took approx 30-45 min but was a nice escape to quiet at the end of the day. There is some foot traffic near the back patio with all walks of life - something to be aware of with kids. Imagine this is beautiful with the trees/river in the summertime and trail would be to advantage for hiking. Hilary was responsive and thoughtful (provided extra gas for grill, Keurig, guest shampoo etc). She called us on arrival to make sure everything was ok and checkin/out was super easy. -Chris"
