  • Best home ever!

"We held a family reunion of sorts in Breckenridge over New Year's with just our 4 adult children (ages 30-40) and their spouses...none of the 6 grandkids...and we the parents/in-laws. We had not all been together at the same time and place (with just the adults) in years. Ted Dreier's house (actually this is a home - not your typical rental) proved to be the best place we could have rented for the following reasons: 1. Everyone had their own clean space and there was plenty. 2. There was also plenty of together space (including the hot tub) and enough plates and silverware and chairs. 3. Transportation to the ski hill was a breeze...the parking lot and the bus are right there. You don't need a car! Ski rentals are within walking distance. You can walk to town! The bus takes you to the big grocery store, but you can walk to the little store. 4. There was enough parking for our people with cars. 5. The house had spices, dishwasher soap, toilet paper, towels, good heat, wifi, and coffee filters - well equipped. 6. Ted quickly responded to emails and questions and was a dear to work with on getting this planned and executed. He even followed up after the trip! 7. Because it was a home, instead of a hotel or sterile condo, we all immediately relaxed upon arrival and immediately took on our traditional family roles (first born vs. youngest) etc. and we had a blast. The only downside (besides having to leave) was that we could not find the trash bins because of all the snow so we left the trash in the garage. Ted said no problem! We want to come back! Great place/great stay - enhanced by having stayed here instead of someplace else! Thank you, thank you, thank you."

  • Great accomodations for Family Reunion of 28 people

"This place was perfect for our family reunion. With eight individual families converging together we used the entire lodge for our stay and appreciated the large gathering space near the kitchen for meals. The large main kitchen allowed for cooking meals and still visiting with family members. The lodge is two blocks off of main street shopping and one block away from a playground at the local school, which was enjoyed by our grandchildren. Some minor issues brought to Jordan's attention (needing additional bedding, towels) were quickly addressed. Family members agreed that this was something they would like to do again."

  • great location & great family home rental

"We enjoyed our stay at Chalet Anna with 5 adults and 2 kids. There was great space on the lower level for the kids to have their "own play space" and it was nice to have a "drop spot" for coats, wet boots, etc. It was also nice to have a mini fridge/cooler and wet bar on the lower level to keep food for the kids staying in the lower bedrooms. It is a close walk to town and a block and a half from the grocery. We felt close to everything and the free shuttle is only a black away - very convenient! Short walk to town and you can dine and shop as well as take a family carriage pulled by horses! We enjoyed the mountain views from the kitchen, doing room, and the master bedroom and enjoyed the hot tub daily! The house is very well stocked as far as kitchen appliances, flatware, cookware, etc. Most importantly - the renter was very accessible and easy to contact when we called/text with questions and went out of the way to help with a few extra requests! We would recommend this home to other families or small groups."

  • home from home near Main Street

"We rented this house primarily based on it's location as my sister and niece are sporadic skiers, and wanted access to the town. For the rest of us, the bonus was it's also walking distance (and on two bus routes) to the gondola or Peak 9, assuming you are not walking in ski boots (we snowboard so no problem). It's also spitting distance from a number of great restaurants, and two yoga studios that I tried out while I was there. There is indeed a grocery store and liquor store a couple of blocks away so convenience is an understatement. As for the house, it was light, warm, comfortable and everything worked. Parking for two cars, a lockbox in case you forget your key, or have people coming and going on different schedules, and plenty of room to hang jackets, store hats, gloves, helmets in the cupboard. There's plastic matting as you come in for boots and anything damp, and although it's slightly odd to have that in the living/dining area, it didn't bother us, and if it really bothers you, you can come in the back entrance as the house is sort of two houses, and leave your gear in the back kitchen. The only thing we weren't quite expecting was that two of the bedrooms are really in the basement, with no natural light. That won't bother most people, particularly if everyone is hanging out in the main part of the house until bedtime. It's useful having two lounge areas if some of your party are young or night owls, and others want to curl up and read then have an early night. It really works very well, and allows you to spread out quite a bit. Michael, the owner, was extremely responsive to our initial questions about parking, where to stick our boards, how to operate something or other (I forget what, but nothing was an issue) and his local help were equally accessible and helpful. We got our deposit back within days and have to say this was one of the most enjoyable stays we've had. Highly recommended, and a reasonable cost for a good size house in an unbeatable location."
