  • Great ski vacation

"We were a group of 5 women and we loved the house. We are a little spoiled and we loved that we each had our own bedroom and bathroom. The house was very large but very inviting, and very clean. It can easily accommodate a much larger group with no problem. The owner provided lots of good information about the house and the town. It was an easy walk to town, or an even easier walk to the bus stop, and it didn't take long to figure out the bus schedule/routes. The view of the mountain from the back of the house was wonderful. We had a problem with the hot tub (apparently the prior occupants did not use it properly) and we were unable to use it during our stay, but the property manager did try to remedy the situation. They were very responsive to any questions. I would highly recommend this property."

  • home from home near Main Street

"We rented this house primarily based on it's location as my sister and niece are sporadic skiers, and wanted access to the town. For the rest of us, the bonus was it's also walking distance (and on two bus routes) to the gondola or Peak 9, assuming you are not walking in ski boots (we snowboard so no problem). It's also spitting distance from a number of great restaurants, and two yoga studios that I tried out while I was there. There is indeed a grocery store and liquor store a couple of blocks away so convenience is an understatement. As for the house, it was light, warm, comfortable and everything worked. Parking for two cars, a lockbox in case you forget your key, or have people coming and going on different schedules, and plenty of room to hang jackets, store hats, gloves, helmets in the cupboard. There's plastic matting as you come in for boots and anything damp, and although it's slightly odd to have that in the living/dining area, it didn't bother us, and if it really bothers you, you can come in the back entrance as the house is sort of two houses, and leave your gear in the back kitchen. The only thing we weren't quite expecting was that two of the bedrooms are really in the basement, with no natural light. That won't bother most people, particularly if everyone is hanging out in the main part of the house until bedtime. It's useful having two lounge areas if some of your party are young or night owls, and others want to curl up and read then have an early night. It really works very well, and allows you to spread out quite a bit. Michael, the owner, was extremely responsive to our initial questions about parking, where to stick our boards, how to operate something or other (I forget what, but nothing was an issue) and his local help were equally accessible and helpful. We got our deposit back within days and have to say this was one of the most enjoyable stays we've had. Highly recommended, and a reasonable cost for a good size house in an unbeatable location."

  • Great amenities in a great location

"A beautiful condo in a quiet cul de sac but close to town and the lifts. Everything as described and the heated garage a real bonus!"
