Impressive design and furnishings; great owners

When we pulled up to the garage at the "back" of the house, nothing indicated what a treat we were in store for. At first I was even a little worried. but, thankfully, I couldn't have been more wrong and, within 30 minutes, I was thrilled we discovered this gem. Here is why: -- big double garage that could even handle two full-size SUVs; Extra storage shelves if you have a bike rack, etc. you want to take off your vehicle and store once you are settled in. -- spacious mudroom was first: granite flooring, large wash sink, coat rack, plenty of room for 8+ sets of skis, boards, golf clubs, etc. -- exit mudroom: on left, entertainment room with a high-end pull-out sofa (our friends said it was more comfortable than their bed at home and once laying down forgot they were on a sleeper sofa). -- straight ahead: another bedroom with nice bunks, big trundle and generally a perfect kids room. we didn't have to use this room; but i pulled out the trundle out of curiosity for next time, and it was very nice and solid; private bath for the kids. -- next room: a BR that would have been a large master BR in any other house. King size bed, lots of light, private bathroom. -- heading upstairs: trying to be a good house guest, took off my shoes. No slippers b/c hadn't unpacked yet. figured my feet would get cold on the granite flooring pretty quickly -- but it was literally warm. hadn't even noticed when booking that it had heated flooring. what a great surprise! -- if you arrive on a good weather day (or even after a big snowstorm) the upstairs view will be breathtaking. At top of the stairs, the kitchen is ahead, and a large open space with DR and LR is to your right. The giant floor to ceiling windows let in tons of light and provide a panoramic view. very comfortable sofa and chairs for relaxing and hanging-out. -- the "real" master BR is huge! heavenly king-size bed (my wife and i were the lucky ones who got the master); large private bath. -- FINALLY, its always in THE DETAILS: kitchen well-stocked with variety of nice pots, utensils, owners stockpile spare batteries, utility cords, etc. for their guests to use if needed. I could keep going on about the details ... but H.A. says I've maxed out on my review length ... To the Duke Family owners: THANK YOU! WE'LL BE BACK!!

Beautiful house for our annual ski vacation. Plenty of space for our 4 adults and 4 kids (ages 8-15). Beautiful property and the pictures are exactly spot on. Convenient location to Breckenridge ski resort and town. We would definitely stay here again!!
