  • Great Adventure 25

"This is our groups 25th year coming out to Colorado from the Midwest. This condo and Breckenridge contributed to making it a great trip. We had 6 gentlemen (mid 50s up to early 70s) staying in the condo. Plenty of sleeping room and the living room/dining area are great. Had guests over for dinner and fed 8 easily. Kitchen was a little small but functional. It was well stocked with plates, silverware, pots and pans and utensils. The radiant floor heat was superb, as was the gas fireplace ... easy to start and took the cool off the house quickly in the morning. The outside hot tub was great. Toasty warm (103) and great circulation. Well maintained and very clean. I think they drain and refill it after each stay? We didn't use the 2 man tub upstairs. Bedrooms were nice ... I especially liked the cotton flannel sheets in the master bedroom. Ski out was very easy; ski in was a little bit of a chore, but the owner gives great directions for getting there. Be ready for a little poling or skating. An alternative is to ski to the bottom and use the shuttle to get close to the house. But you still have a short walk uphill. The location is very quiet. A duplex like this is way nicer than a multi-floor condo. Garage was nicely heated with plenty of room for ski storage. Plenty of good dining and shopping opportunities in Breckenridge. Again use the city shuttle service as parking can be a problem in town. Close to grocery shopping, rental places, clothing stores, etc. International Ice Sculpture contest was in town while we were there. It was really neat, but we can't promise that. Owner was very helpful before and during the rental. Responsive via email and/or phone. He provides an excellent "hints" printout of medical facilities, ski in/ski out instructions, etc. This is also available in the condo. Thanks Skipper for a great trip. Breckenridge was a nice hill to ski. Staff was excellent and the ski school far exceeded our expectations. Lots of variety from green to blues. Had people skiing the tops from the T Bar, and a friend's daughter taking ski lessons (went from beginner to blues in 1 day). So it meets all the needs of a family or group with varying skill levels.Lift ticket purchases were handy to the lift downhill from the condo. Mike"

  • Beautiful Views, Next to Trails and Close to Main St.

"My wife and I spent a quick weekend in Breckenridge in late June for our anniversary and this place was exactly as advertised. It has great views of the mountains, was less than 1/4 mile from the Sawmill Trail (trailhead is at the bottom of the Snowflake lift). It is very close to Main Street (about 10 -15 minute walk or a 2-3 minute drive) and we had a great time staying in the condo!"

  • Wonderful place to stay

"My "adult" family stayed at this great property for a ski trip this year. The snowflake slope is maybe 150 feet from the front of the house - an easy walk even in ski boots. We liked this property because they had queen/king beds in the major bedrooms - may of the other properties that we considered had bunk beds. The bunk beds would be great for kids, but with 3 couples and a single, the queen beds were very nice. One bedroom did have a daybed, so that is where the single stayed. All of the accommodations are exactly as described in the rental listing. Everything was clean and well maintained. It felt lived-in but not abused. The house was very nice - nothing fancy, but more than adequate. The kitchen was a little bit small, but mostly we were making sandwiches for lunch or spaghetti for dinner, so that didn't matter. The heat was a little difficult to figure out, as we are not used to Radiant heat. It was plenty warm, but sometimes we wanted it a little cooler and had to wait for things to cool off. Location is close to town also - more than we wanted to walk in the cold, but we could have walked to the bus stop if we had not already rented cars. All in all, I would stay here again in a heartbeat. It was a great family trip and a great place to stay!"
