  • If you're here to ski, this is the place

"Fantastic ski in ski out location right across from the snowflake lift. 10 minute walk to main street. Unit also nicely located close to parking lot and hot tubs. Comfortable accommodation with three bedrooms, one with a single and a bunk bed. Not the most updated decor or furnishings or plumbing fixtures, but again this unit is all about location. Management company was accomodating with a late check out so we could ski in the morning before we left, which was nice."

  • January 2017 Stay

"Sawmill Creek is conveniently located at the corner of Ski Hill Road and Park Avenue, about half way between downtown and the gondola. If you don't want to walk, there is a bus stop in front that will take you to the Snowflake lift, Peak 9 base, Beaver Run, or downtown, and one across the street that will take you to the gondola base. One of the very best things about Sawmill Creek is that you can ski right to it down the 4 O'clock run. I mean click out of your skis and walk in door. We stayed in 114 Sawmill, which is a nicely appointed two bedroom with plenty of space and a nice view out the two patio doors. Pluses include very adequately equipped kitchen, large TV and fireplace in the living room, two large bedrooms, each with a bathroom. The furnishings and beds are good. The only minus, just information really, is the second bedroom, with two beds, is a little tight at the doorway, as is the bathroom, but not uncomfortably so and does not diminish the comfort and value of the condo. Parking is convenientl"

  • Nice Quality, Clean but Average Service

"Very nice quality and clean which is very important to us. The service however was average and the building was a little strange. They did not allow you to walk through the lobby or hall with your gear, not even soft snowboarding boots. It wasn't the biggest deal, but it was inconvenient to not be able to walk thought the lobby. Instead we had to take an elevator to the floor below us, walk to another elevator on that floor that had garage access and then walk to the locker room. I am sure there are plenty of people who prefer this style resort, we just didn't necessarily care for the extra work. Also there is only 1 person on staff at night and when we went to ask for a second blanket (after already asking for 1) they looked at us like we were doing something wrong or like it was hugely inconvenient. Lastly, it's nice to have the snowflake lift close by but you should know it is a really slow chair to get to the main lifts in the morning... meaning first tracks are pretty much impossible from this location."
