  • WOW!!!

"Traveling with 3 families, total, each walked in the door and said, "Wow!" We were all blown away with the property and location. It was more than spacious enough for our needs (10 of us) and could easily have slept closer to 18. The house has 4 master bedrooms and 2 family room areas (allowing our kiddos a quiet space away from the adults). The owner had everything we could have needed, especially in the kitchen...no need to eat out which is a big savings. The grill worked out great! The hot tub worked out great! Property is only one bus stop from Peak 8 (ski school) and turns out it was more convenient to keep skis than to valet them at the hill. Everything was as described/promised and more. I've likely forgotten more good things about this property than I've already mentioned. We are already planning a return trip next year."

  • Wonderful Stay - Mardi Gras 2016

"Our group really enjoyed staying in this house for the Mardi Gras break. It is actually the finest skiing accommodation I've ever stayed in - and I've stayed in a bunch. Our group included four adults & four children between 5 & 7. We didn't use one bedroom so at least two more could have been added to our party. The house is two levels and spacious with a second living room downstairs which allowed our group to "spread out" so we weren't on top of each other. Although the photographs of Sunrise are beautiful, the house exceeded our expectations. It is larger than we thought it would be. We had friends over for dinner and the kids "disappeared" to the downstairs living room. Clearly the Owner and their Architect spent a lot of time together during design of the house as everything is in the right place. This is not a spec. house, the kitchen is well stocked with all the right tools equipment, finishes such as plumbing fixtures, door hardware, appliances, etc. are high-end, and the Sonos system was great. Hot tub, fire pit and gas grill all were used and worked fine. We arrived to a clean house with all equipment and appliances working like new. The neighborhood is quiet and the views from the kitchen/living area are magnificent. Transportation to and from Peak 8 base is easy enough. The shuttle stop is approximately 250 yards away (flat walk). Town is a shuttle ride from the same stop. Shuttles run approximately every 20 minutes, although we found them to be inconsistent - particularly at night. Buses and cabs in Breck are not what you would expect. For the price, it's hard to imagine a better value than Sunrise. If and when we return to Breck we'll stay here."

  • Perfect For a Couple - unbeatable location, clean, and efficient but roomy

"My boyfriend and I (mid 30s) loved stayed at this condo! We have been to Breck a few times, and this was our best condo - location and setup wise. Preparing for our visit: Alix was fantastic. Great communicator, reaching out and checking in with us prior to our visit - - telling us about the type of car we might want to get with snowy condition, discounted lift passes, etc. She gave us details on the condo with supplies, location details and other tips about great restaurants in the area. THE CONDO: The condo was VERY clean - from the kitchen, to the bedroom. While this was a condo (and not a hotel), Alix made sure it felt almost like you were staying at a friends place. Not only was there shared things for food (spices, oils, coffee), but some shampoo/soap samples, and a nice note/bottle of wine to greet us. The physical setup of the condo was just perfect, with a separate bedroom with a TV if we wanted to go to bed at different times. We have stayed in 1 bedrooms before, this was was nice and spacious. The bed was big, with clean, nice comforter - ample pillows and extra blankets. We LOVED the wood stove - which was fully stocked with dry wood and fire starters inside the condo! The couch was comfy and clean - with 2 soft and cozy blankets. There was a good sized TV (not like some places) in the living room and bedroom to watch TV. The kitchen gave us everything we needed for all 3 meals per day. An added bonus was the washer and dryer for our wet stuff, along with a ski locker just outside the condo. The bathroom was pretty big, especially for a 1 bedroom! THE LOCATION: The best part, was that you could walk across the street and be right on the ski trail - with about a 3 min ski to the lift. We have no problem with parking right outside our front door as well - nice that you don't have to walk far to unpack and re pack upon arrival/departure. It is only about 3/4 mile to the main street area - so having a few drinks and walking home was no big deal. It has a beautiful view of the mountains/snow - with a nice walk out patio that lets a lot of light in and lets you step out and smell the fresh air! There is also some nice wild life as well - - with a fox that likes to frequent around the woods outside that patio (we named him Jimmy!) THE COST: For what this condo offers in it's physical setup and the location - it is a great value. I have already recommended to several friends, and when we visit Breck we will re-book here."

  • Phenomenal Family Ski House

"We had the opportunity to have skied Summit County again while spending our time off of the mountain in what is the best house available for families. It not only was impeccably designed, but also had ample room and amenities for every part of our extended family. To boot, the house is conveniently located just steps from the base of peak eight."
