  • Breck is a Nice Break From the Heat

"Our family (including 5 adult children) had a wonderful summer vacation July 23-30, 2016, at this lovely home at 91 Sunbeam in Breckenridge! The weather in the summer there is perfect and a refreshing break from the brutal heat of a Texas summer. And the Frumess' home is a special retreat with every amenity you need, tons of space, and close to quaint downtown Breckenridge. We found the home to be even nicer than the pictures or descriptions. It was very clean and well-maintained, and the manager made sure we knew he was available for anything we needed. The directions and information the owner provided before arrival were very helpful. The comfort and beauty of this home made our vacation even more special. With 7 adults in the house, it was great to have so much room to spread out--5 bedrooms, each with its own bath. We enjoyed the hot tub each evening, along with the spacious deck, and gas grill. The kitchen (with brand new granite countertops) is well stocked and equipped with nice appliances and a large bar for the family to gather around. The fireplace warmed us up on chilly mornings and abundant windows opened to provide pleasant breezes in the late afternoons. The house is close enough to downtown to walk to the many excellent restaurants and shops, eliminating the need for driving and parking, or riding the free shuttle that stops nearby. It was a great place to reconnect with family and relax after a day of hiking a 14'er (Quandary Peak) or rafting through Brown Canyon (Professional Tours) or driving to Red Rocks Amphitheatre for an outdoor concert or strolling through the delightful downtown to shop, eat or relax by the Blue River and people-watch. Favorite restaurants were Motherload, Blue River, Eric's, Blue Moose, The Lost Cajun, Mary's Mountain Cookies, and Dredge. The Crepe A La Cart is a great way to end the day before relaxing with a movie in the downstairs TV room, reading a book, working a jigsaw puzzle or gazing at the stars from the deck. We will certainly return to this lovely home and encourage you to plan your family vacation here--just make sure to leave a week open for us!"

  • Over all Great stay...

"We enjoyed our stay at Winterpoint 18, very clean and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Having a personal hot was great after a long day on the mountain, not having to walk 200 feet in the cold was a plus. The hot tub does fit 6 people but was a bit snug. Easy walk to Main Street, to eat or shop. We were expecting to be able to ski right to the door, but there was a block half walk from 4 o'clock run. Which was not bad once we figured out where we needed to stop and walk to Winterpoint 18. The walk to the ski lift is easy and close, made stopping around lunch time to come in for lunch and go back out for the afternoon easy. There are two ski rental store very close for those needing to rent. We were never able to get the fireplace to work, but was not need to keep the place warm. Two half bath came in very handy with 3 couples staying in one place. We wish the snow would have been removed from the front door and deck so we could have used them more. We went into staying here knowing there was two twin beds, which did not bother any of us, but the twin beds were not as nice as the other two beds. All and All I would stay here again, great location, great comfort, has everything one would need, and great price for what you get. Thank you"

  • All around nice stay

"The house nicely accommodated our family reunion for 4 days, It is in a very convenient location with 5-10 minute drive to the main part of town - so you will never feel closed in by the heavy traffic and crowds. Nice balconies and deck. The hot tub was a big plus and worked great! The owner Brian was nice and easy to contact when there were some minor issues. Important things to consider: -The driveway is somewhat steep and two of our cars were unable to get up it in the summer although both mini-vans made it ok. There is no legal parking on the street but there is a small pull in area across the street to accommodate two small to medium cars. - There is no bedroom with a dedicated attached bathroom. All bedrooms will have to share one bathroom with one other bedroom or with the living area - The common living area is a on the small side but comfortable with a group of around 8-10. - The lowest level has many beds but it is noisy when folks are walking around on the main level. - There is only one street garbage can which can be a challenge if the weekly pickup is not during your visit (especially if any previous renters have left their garbage in the can). All in all it was a nice place and I would probably rent again for a large group even taking in consideration the list above. Hopefully, the owner will do a better job with the garbage situation for future renters."
