  • Great house for our family retreat

"Seven of us spent the week at the house and it met and exceeded our expectations. The house works; inside and out. Sleeping with the windows open to the sound of aspens quaking and a cool breeze in late July was heavenly. Family pictures and art on the walls; it feels like staying with old friends. The deer visited daily. We were happy to be outside of town but getting into Willits/ Basalt/ Carbondale was easy to visit friends in the local valley; Aspen is close by too and easily reachable, especially nice going up through Woody Creek and off the 82. A great base to hike and fish and spend time up valley and local to house. House is nicely furnished and the kitchen works well and feels like a home; very easy to be comfortable. Our group came in from three areas, California, Texas, and Utah, different daily schedules and ages morphed into a vacation. The house helped it happen. Will hope to visit again as a family retreat."

  • Perfect cabin, perfect location

"This cabin was the highlight of our mini vacation. Pictures do not really do it justice. It was quiet, cozy and very clean. The furnishings were extremely comfortable and every detail had been thought of. We especially enjoyed the extensive selection of local history books (we learned a lot about the area), and relaxing on the deck, while taking in the beautiful view of White House Mountain. Can't wait to stay here again!"

  • Marble lover

"We stayed in the Spirit Horse Lodge with our 2 dogs. It was the perfect place for a Marble get-a-way! The cabin is brand new with beautiful details and artistic touches. The area was very quiet despite the fact that we were only blocks from the main road. The mountains are viewed from all angles and the lovely sounds of rushing water from Carbonite Creek could be heard from an open window of the cabin. Wild life watching is endless and the hummingbirds are bountiful! Within walking distance to everything you want from hiking trails, fishing The Marble Hub and the Slow Groovin BBQ! We didn't use the Tipi, but noted the quality of the construction as well as the beautiful flagstone flooring with a fireplace in the middle. A fun place to sleep on a summers night! We have also stayed at the Hideaway Cabin, also owned by the Parkers. It is equally beautiful and perfect for a small or large group. Charley is a wonderful host."

  • Better than advertised

"A beautiful property that is even nicer than the pictures. We had a large group in town for a wedding and would have loved to spend more time here if we could. Very spacious, clean, and some nice touches such as a closet full of board games, bbq grill, and a stereo system. There are plenty of towels, pillows, and blankets, coaches and chairs, and unique artwork in every room. The open floor plan with the kitchen, dining, living room is nice for large groups to hang out together. Plenty of dishes and new appliances, including washer and dryer (with soap!) There is a pool table downstairs with an entertainment center. There was soap and shampoo in the showers. The master bath shower is one of the best showers I've ever used. The property owners are friendly and informative. I would highly recommend this property to anyone!"
