  • Beautiful, Relaxing Condo Overlooking Lake Dillon

"This condo building is a well taken care of facility in a great location over-looking Lake Dillon, the mountains and the Marina. This condo is a tastefully decorated, clean, cozy, comfy get-away. The master bed is very comfortable; we slept well. The sun floods that room early in the morning so if you're not an early riser, you might choose to sleep in the middle bedroom, which has no window but is connected to the main bathroom. The kitchen has just about everything you need to prepare a meal if that's your choice. The only thing I might note is that there are no spices or cooking oil or spray so you might want to bring some along if you need something besides salt and pepper, which was in the cupboard. Otherwise, the City Market is close by, which is where we always shop when we visit Dillon. The amphitheater is a short walk away, the bus stop is across the street, the bike trail is right outside the door, the bike rental shop is down the street, the Tiki bar is right down the hill by the Marina where you can get a beverage or great burger. The amphitheater has a non-denomination church service on Sunday morning which is very relaxed. Just come as you are. Then after church head over to the Arapahoe Café, which is right down the street, for a delicious breakfast or brunch. One of our favorite places to eat is the Dam Brewery, simply because we love their Seafood Chowder. I've never had anything else quite like it so I always have to get me a bowl of that during my stay! It's extremely busy and crowded every time we're there but it's good food and lots of good, local beer. My husband and I rented bikes one morning and rode across the damn to the Frisco Marina and back again. If you're having problems with the altitude or haven't ridden a bike in a while, that path will be a challenge for you, but, you can stop along the way to rest and enjoy the view. We also enjoyed spending time by the pool or in the pool, which always had a very nice temperature; we assumed it was heated. Every morning we enjoyed our coffee on the patio and then an adult beverage there at night. A few nights it got quite chilly so we really appreciated the gas fireplace. We never heard any loud activity in the halls or outside, so my husband, who needed a lot of R&R from his stressful job, found it right here. Thanks to Ron and Robin for sharing their beautiful mountain home with us. We look forward to returning."
